17.01.2022 Had a great time at the Perth Royal Show this week. Noble Sir Toval won his class despite his bad manners, Zaidee 2nd and Noble Macleod 2nd to the eventual Supreme Huycaya. As usual I forgot the photos. A great effort by the Conveynor and his team it was a good idea to have some llamas and camels to show the public for comparison.

12.01.2022 Off to Colourbration. Mostly ready except for those that have forgotten how to be lead, those that were trimmed and haven't had enough rain to settle the fleece and I officiallt give up on the suri. The front half is free of VM, indepedently locked beautiful but my arms just aren't long enough..... Oh well my little suri girl will be old enough for the Perth Royal

10.01.2022 Lovely day out at WA Colourbration. Happy with best medium/dark Fawn female and second to the eventual Champion black.

08.01.2022 Gidgegannup Alpaca show as part of the Small Farms Field Day. 3 animals 5 ribbons so far. You cant do much better than that back tomorrow for best colours.

08.01.2022 2 days ago it was over 43 here. Today its has rained nonstop and there was over 75mm in the gauge when I checked it about 5.30. being soaked to the skin and a stiff breeze has made me very chilly but rounding up all the girls into the shed does help to warm you up. Food is definitely the way to an alpacas heart, wouldnt budge until the feed bucket came out. Just hope the boys are Ok they were in the lane with a bale of hay but disappeared to go to bed. At least they have way more shelter in their paddock and its on the lee side of the hill.

06.01.2022 Having a "good alpaca" year. Champion Mature female at the Perth royal and now a beautiful drop of cria 2 grey , 1 red and 1 bay black/dark brown. Even though 3 boys they are all amazing.

06.01.2022 Great day at Gidgegannup Small Farm Field Day yesterday. The weather was great, the organization of the Alpaca Expo was amazing, congratulations to the conveyor Jean Baxter, and the crowd was great. Looking forward to the next thing, my cria are due shortly so fingers crossed for some lovely cria for next years show team

05.01.2022 Sitting watching the alpaca judging at Perth Royal. My animals judged for today, 3 animals 3 blue ribbons plus my little black suit fleece one its class. Just got Sires progeny and best colour to go.

03.01.2022 ended up with 117mm in the gauge. The shed is a mess, they opened fleece bags, ate most of a hidden bale of lucerne and a fair swag of straw. But all the girls were fine. Lost one of my oldest males so very sad about that but the shed is only so big.

02.01.2022 Noble Mia Bella a lovely medium fawn female born yesterday. A lovely start to this years breeding.

02.01.2022 Off to Perth Royal Show Again, the first show for the year. Taking 3 beautiful animals Noble The Baron a black huacaya and 2 suri brother Wizard and Warlock both black. It will be interesting to see who is there.

01.01.2022 Off to Whiteman Park for the big Autumn Classic show 23rd and 24th of April the kids are in the shed and sort of clean. Now comes the hard part, convincing them that the should walk in the sme direction as me when they are on a halter and lead. So far we are at the stage where the opposite seems to be the preferred direction. Tomorrows another day, perhaps that will be the day the penny drops.
