25.01.2022 Congratulations to NPCC regular Justin Tan who according to his results and chats just completed his final IM norm at the Bunratty Chess Festival with his final round draw! Also because of his great result at the tournament has also pushed 2400 live and therefore has completed his requirements for the international master title! Congratulations once again international master elect Justin Tan.

25.01.2022 On behalf of the organising committee, I would like to thank all the players who have played in the Australian Championships making this a record breaking event in terms of numbers. It has certainly been a great experience to be involved in running such an event. There are also certainly a lot of other people to thank for making this event a great success. Having spoken to few people, the feedback provided has been excellent. We are happy to receive any further feedback about the event, if anyone does have any further feedback, please feel free to message me, or send me an email.

24.01.2022 Apologies for the late posting of updates! The year so far has been exciting, we have begun our club championships and our junior coaching program has resumed this year which is going very well! I will be posting results of the club champs so far!

13.01.2022 It is with great pleasure that Noble Park Chess Club unveils the 2014 Australian Chess Championships poster. The theme for the poster is "multiculturalism in chess", with the idea conceived from the cultural diversity of the City of Greater Dandenong. The flags and the word "Chess" in various languages highlights the different ethnicities in this area. The Australian flag set against the background of a chess board symbolises the prominence of the Australian Chess Championship in the Australian chess calendar. Designer Jean Watson has certainly done an exemplary job on the poster. Noble Park Chess Club acknowledges Jean's contribution to the 2014 Australian Chess Championships.

13.01.2022 Noble park chess club is back in 2017! This Saturday 28th January we return with open day whilst the following Saturday 4th February we begin with club championships! We hope to see as many as possible at the club!

07.01.2022 I am posting on behalf of Noble Park Chess Club. NPCC is seeking new committee members for 2016. The club Secretary and Treasurer, Philip Drew is not seeking reelection, and General Committee Members Greg Dingfelder and Dusan Stojic are also resigning. NPCC therefore only has two remaining committee members, John Nemeth and current Presdent Svetozar Stojic. All the the people mentioned have been on the committee for at least 4-5 years each, and in Dusan and Svetozar's instanc...e since the beginning of the club. It is time for new members to put their hands up to assist the club, as a chess club is only as good as its volunteers. Unfortunately if the club receives no assistance from the chess community it will be likely that the club will have to close in the upcoming years, which would be a great shame for all the members at NPCC, but also the entire chess community as a whole. Please, anyone that can assist our club please email me at [email protected] and come to the AGM next Saturday, 28th November at 4pm. (3pm for blitz beforehand). Thank you.

05.01.2022 Congratulations to NPCC Member Justin Tan for successfully completing his 2nd IM norm in the 4 Nations Chess League event in Europe! The 4NCL is a very strong teams event, with many world class GMs completing, such as Ivanchuk, Adams, McShane and Shirov to name a few. Justin's live rating is now 2375! Everyone show their support for an Aussie going well internationally! Waiting for confirmation is Justin is still able to make a GM norm - will update when we know.
