24.01.2022 A book pillow for a special boy. My nephew just turned 1, so to encourage his love of books I made him a book pillow for his first birthday. I used a jungle animal print as my inspiration for the colours. I added a book and his gift was complete. I had so much fun making this book pillow that I can see myself making more. In fact send me a message if you'd like to discuss ordering one.

23.01.2022 Bags, bags, bags are very useful things.... Drawstring bags in particular. I've made a few lately. A teddy bear bag with some goodies inside as a birthday gift for a precious little girl. That way the wrapping is part of the gift. Win, win. No wrapping needed and the gift bag is part of the gift that can be played with later.... And while I'm on saving the environment, I just finished making these green drawstring bags to be used to store cutlery to take along while eating out and about. The dirty cutlery then gets safely put away to be taken home to wash then the cotton bag can be thrown in the washing machine to be washed. When dry pack the clean cutlery back into their bag for the next adventure where plastic cutlery would otherwise be used. NQ

23.01.2022 Party bags. For a recent birthday party for a special little girl in our house I made these cute floral drawstring bags as thank you gifts to all the guests at ...the party. They were the perfect match for the high tea theme party. Each bag was approximately 6in x 8in. I even made a little Bob the Builder bag for the little boy who came. NQ See more

23.01.2022 Washable fabric face masks. With all the craziness going on I have been making washable fabric face masks. While I certainly DO NOT make any claims about them being medical grade something is better than nothing and leaving the medical grade PPE for those on the front line is prudent. They come with elastic to hook around ones ears and are 3 layers of cotton fabric for easy washing.... These masks are already sold but more will be listed on my etsy page over the coming days in a variety of colours and prints at $8 each. NQ

20.01.2022 A recent finish. At the request of a friend I recently made this bag for her to give as a gift to her mother-in-law. I already had the fabrics in my stash. I just needed the right pattern. While there were a few frustrating moments trying to decipher the pattern I enjoyed trying something new. This one is sold but I'm happy to make more.

19.01.2022 Christmas has come early this year at Noble Quilts. I just finished making this Christmas stocking. It is bigger than others that I have made - more room for more goodies. It's approximately 45cm high and 20cm wide. I attached some cute stars for an individual touch and put some prairie points along the top for fun. Of course there is a loop at the top for hanging. This stocking is already sold but watch this space for more Christmas gifts and decorations. Or if you can't live without one of my Christmas stockings send me a message to make an order.

17.01.2022 A little sewing of a little drawstring bag. I couldn't resist my daughter's request for a drawstring bag to put her ear phones into for school. She chose the simple yet pretty fabric because she wanted fabric that she "won't get teased about". School can be a rough place. This little bag is approximately 10cm x 12cm and are so fun to make.

15.01.2022 WATCH THIS SPACE. Here at Noble Quilts the sewing machine has been running hot and old jeans are finding a new life. Watch this space for an exciting new product soon to be added to my Etsy store made out of upcycled jeans and other salvaged fabric.... But if you can't wait that long check out my denim stars already listed on Etsy. Perfect for decorating a country themed dinner party, a baby room or get in early for Christmas.

14.01.2022 A gaggle of gift bags. I have been putting together a collection of drawstring gift bags. I had so much fun selecting different colour combinations to make each one individual. They are perfect size to throw in a few goodies like chocolates, hand cream, lollies, pens, notebook, toys, hair clips, nail polish, even a t-shirt....... And the bag is part of the gift. I used Jeni Baker's lined drawstring bag pattern. These ones are all sold but I would love to make more. Let me know if you are interested and I'll get sewing.

13.01.2022 Precious memories. This is a quilt I recently finished off for a friend who was making a quilt in memory of a young boy who died. We worked together on this one. She picked fun fabrics that reminded her of the fun times. He loved to fish, super heroes and he lived in the country. She pieced the front using those fun fabrics. I then pieced the back using the leftover fabrics, quilted it and attached the binding. And I giggled to myself as I took photos in the right on time Aug...ust winds blowing the quilt around my yard. It now goes back to my friend to hand sew down the binding I hope this quilt brings back precious memories of happy times. NQ See more

03.01.2022 As promised I have just now added my latest creation to my Etsy store. Today I added a denim zip pouch to my range of handmade products for sale. This zip purse is ideal to use as a pencil case, medical kit, cosmetic bag, clutch purse or a discrete way of carrying sanitary items to school or work. They make an ideal gift for mother's day, a teacher or for those who support sustainable, eco friendly products.... Each zip pouch measures approximately 24 cm x 18 cm (9.5" x 7" ). Closes with a nylon zip. Is fully lined with cotton fabric. Machine washable. The outside features upcycled denim jeans and other salvaged fabric. I have included a handy wrist strap that is also useful for hanging the pouch. In keeping with the character of the jeans used I have included pockets, seams, studs, loops, warn and faded areas of fabric. I have also added other pieces of fun textured fabric using the quilt as you go method giving each pouch it's own personality. Each piece, as with all my work, is crafted individually with it's own one of a kind character. Therefore each zip pouch may differ slightly in appearance from items displayed.
