25.01.2022 Of course there are certain scenarios where adhering to a particular diet is a year-round kind of thing, but if you're dieting for weight loss, here are a few tips for still enjoying all the yummy things this time of year has: Try and keep to four standard drinks per week Keep your serving sizes small (two bunched up fists). Make sure half your plate is salad/vegetables Enjoy your traditional Christmas meals, and leave the snacks alone.... Move more - while you can't out-train a bad diet, now is not the time to have your gym membership on hold. Merry Christmas guys x See more

18.01.2022 I made these absolutely delicious cookies. The kids have demolished them.... (and they have NO IDEA that they’re actually made out of chickpeas )

17.01.2022 My parenting is far from perfect, but I do like to share the wins, in case they work for you too....! Mr 4 wanted banana bread for lunch today (I mean.... let’s face it, I did too ) So, I said of course! And served it up with some cut up vegetables and (proud moment) home-grown beans. ... I watched, as he alternated between banana bread and vegetables. Yes, he ate the whole banana bread (asides from the part I stole) and not all the veg, but doing this encourages a healthy relationship with food, allows some autonomy in food choice and helps him to know what makes him feel good, and not - so - good. As usual, it’s just all about the balance. For any parents out there, we’ve also really enjoyed reading there’s a zoo in my poo which teaches kids all about the gut, and feeding your gut bugs healthy food!

16.01.2022 A little tip I learned at the recent @australianmushrooms masterclass... boil your mushrooms first to break down the cell walls and release the glutamates that ...give the shrooms their awesome umami flavour. Then you add your extra virgin olive oil and whatever herbs, spices, garlic etc you want and fry. I can’t believe what a difference this makes to their texture and flavour! Try it See more

11.01.2022 Well done to Michael and Beth for absolutely smashing their 6-week diet rescue programs! A busy couple, with Michael running a successful building business and Beth working in the city, they always trained hard and ate pretty well. Beth said the biggest surprise was portion sizing and realising she didn’t need the amount of protein she thought she needed. ... Michael lost and incredible 6.5 kgs, and Beth an amazing 4.5kgs. Guess what? Neither of them had to give up carbs, or alcohol. Well done guys! The best part is, even if there’s an added Chrissy kilo or two, they now have the life-long skills to safely and effectively maintain their new weight. Proud of you guys! . . . 07.01.2022 Constantly amazed by the basil and parsley output from the veggie garden! Also pretty excited about the lemongrass haul! I’m thinking... tabouli? And pesto? What are your favourite recipes with these herbs?

07.01.2022 #nowaste vegie patties! Perfect for clearing out the old vegies in your fridge! Mine were mostly sweet potato, with some capsicum, onion, chickpeas and grated halloumi cheese! ... Done in the air fryer (of course!) so soft on the inside and crispy on the outside!

02.01.2022 How to avoid over-eating Christmas food.....be in lock-down!How to avoid over-eating Christmas food.....be in lock-down!

02.01.2022 His ‘n Hers burgers! I opted for a lentil pattie, with a ton of salad veg and the obligatory pickle! I also indulged in a brioche bun, some chutney and BBQ sauce! Delish! Hubby (of course) went with TWO beef burgers.... to be fair, gluten free buns are always quite small, and he’s got a bigger body to feed! ... What’s your favourite burger?!
