24.01.2022 Following advice from the Victorian Government on Tuesday 12 May, some students will be returning to school from Tuesday 26 May. The Victorian Chief Health Officer has advised that it is safe for students and teachers to return in a two-staged approach: Stage 1 from Tuesday 26 May: Early years students (Prep to Grade 2) and senior secondary students (Year 11 and 12) and all specialist school students will return to on-site schooling. All staff will attend on-site. Stage 2 ... from Tuesday 9 June: Grade 3 to Year 10 students will return to on-site schooling, subject to health advice. It is important that we work together and support each other during this challenging time. We will be in touch with staff and parents shortly with more details. 12.01.2022 Today, our College took part in an ANZAC Day Remote Assembly. Here are some of the quotes that students shared afterwards. Anzac day means a lot to me even though I wasnt born in Australia or New Zealand but my country also had war before so I knew that feeling. I want to say thank you to all those soldiers who served their life to protect the country. People will always respect and remember all of you. Peace J... Throughout our classes about the Anzacs I have learnt many things, something I found fascinating was how brave and strong the Anzacs were. John I learnt over 8000 soldiers died when landing in Gallipoli. I also learnt that there is an Anzac spirit Anzac came to stand for the positive qualities which Australians have seen their forces show in war. These qualities include endurance, courage, ingenuity, good humour, and mateship. I think the ceremony went well it went smoothly and we were able to do the things we would usually do at school at home, which was great. Chelsey I found the Ceremony interesting that we had to do it at home instead of at school, it is nice that we have it every year. Hopefully, we can to it again next year at school. Zfart I always get silent for a minute to pay my respect. Mothers cried for their sons. I thank all of the Anzacs for giving their lives for us and Australia. Fatemeh And from a teacher I have always been proud of being part of the Noble Park Secondary College community and now I can prove that we are excelling during this difficult period. Thank you

04.01.2022 The students in years 7-10 participated in a lesson on the importance of wearing a mask when heading out for daily exercise or to the shops. The students were shown a variety of videos on how to make their own masks. Students then made their own masks, for students who didnt have fabric or a spare clean sock lying around they could make a mask from paper or any other item (the mask didnt have to be practical or for use). The idea of the activity was to deliver a health message and have some fun. Here are some of the great masks they made.

04.01.2022 ANZAC DAY 25th April 2020 On the morning of 25 April 1915, Australian and New Zealand troops landed under fire on Gallipoli. It was then and in the battles which followed that the Anzac tradition was formed. On this day, above all days, we remember all those who served our nation in times of war. We remember with pride their courage, their compassion and their comradeship. We remember what they accomplished for Australia, and indeed for the freedom of mankind. We honour those... who died or were disabled in the tragedy of war. They adorn our nations history. We remember those who fell amidst the valleys and ridges of Gallipoli, on the terraced hills of Palestine, in France and Belgium, on the sands of the North African desert, amidst the mountains and olive groves of Greece, Crete and Syria, in the skies over Europe, in Singapore, in the jungles of Malaysia, Indonesia, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Islands, in Korea and Vietnam, in later conflicts and in peacekeeping, in the skies and seas in many parts of the world, and on our own soil and in our sea lanes. We remember those who suffered as prisoners of war, and those who died in captivity. We remember staunch friends and allies, especially those who fought alongside us on that first day on Gallipoli in 1915. Our servicemen and women have left us a splendid heritage. May we and our successors prove worthy of their sacrifice. By: Charles Bean (1944) Lest we Forget
