25.01.2022 5 young dairy and beef farmers from all over NSW recently completed the August AI course. Congrats to Nathan, Heidi, Mika, Damien and Jack. These young men and women and others like them are the future of farming - and they will be key to rebuilding Australias dwindled National Herd over the coming years. Thats what I love to see! 21.01.2022 Its been a very odd & challenging month and we are all having a VERY VERY quiet Easter this year - especially with so many events and Shows cancelled and the no non-essential travel rules. But regardless of what you choose to do, whether you are in self isolation, or having a Netflix binge, pick up a new book, or a gardening spree, then please have a safe healthy and happy Easter. Remember, chocolate will always bring a smile to a face.

21.01.2022 Its a sad and emotional day at No Bull. Sometimes being a farmer means you have to say goodbye.....and its not always easy. These girls have played a critical part in the training of 40 students over the last 8 months. But we have some new girls arriving soon for the commencement of our NEW preg testing course - so we must say goodbye as these beautiful girls move on to greener pastures. Thank you girls from the bottom of my heart.

21.01.2022 Our next 3 day AI course starts tomorrow with a new batch of students . The girls and I are always pretty excited to meet them and put them through their paces. And even though the Covid numbers in NSW are pretty low (thankfully), we will still be taking suitable precautions. And a message for tomorrows students - see you bright and early for the start of the theory! Dont forget to bring your lunch and your enthusiasm!

17.01.2022 Gavin, Christie, Adam and Bo travelled from as far away as Cowra and the Snowy Mountains, and as local as Comboyne - to complete the 3 day AI training last week. For me as a trainer its so rewarding to see students gain confidence with their AI technique over the 3 intensive days. This is not an easy skill to master - and cudos to those students who listen, learn, and go back to their herds and put everything into practice. Its so true that #practicemakesperfect ... Well done to Gavin Christie Adam and Bo. It was a real pleasure.

We reckon agriculture has an incredibly important role to play in rebuilding our Australian economy - especially off the back of this crippling pandemic. ... 14.01.2022 (Just a word of warning that you might find this video graphic....) One of the things I love most about my job is helping a new little calf come into the world . Even after all these years my adrenalin was pumping. This one was last night (Sat) around 11pm and his mum needed a little bit of human help. Im happy to report that all went well. Like I say, I LOVE my job.

Sam hasnt been happy with his conceptions rates on his dairy cows which have been pretty low. So he contacted No Bull to help fix that problem. ... We went to his farm and Sam completed an AI refresher course in about 2 hours. He was pretty happy with the time spent giving him tips and honing his AI technique. I am 99% confident Sams rates will now improve! Id youd like a 2-3 hour individual or group AI refresher course - give us a holler!! We can cater for all your AI training needs! NB. Pls note that Sams initial AI training was with another provider. And NOT with No Bull.

08.01.2022 Hi all I NEED YOUR HELP! Im in the early stages of brainstorming a Preg Testing course. But before I go ahead and get TOO excited - firstly Id love to hear from YOU if there is actually a demand or any interest. ... There would be no formal qual or competency on completion - it would simply be for use on your own farm or workplace. I would teach both manual preg testing and using an ultrasound - with cattle at different stages of pregnancy so it would be very hands on (like my AI course). The preg testing course would be 2 full days and approx $1000. So if you think it is something you may like to do - hit me up with a cow emoji in the comments! No obligation whatsoever - Id just like to see if theres enough interest out there. Thanks everyone

08.01.2022 Congrats to our latest batch of AI graduants Daniel, Theresa, Samantha and Darcy! Our students came from all areas, all ages, and all different levels of experience but one thing that never changes is students enthusiasm for learning the AI skill. It was terrific to teach this group and I love it when I get feedback saying the course was better then they expected. (Hopefully that means I am doing something right. )... While we still practiced social distancing and plenty of hand washing - it was nice to run this course with a little more normality then last month in the height of Covid. So bring it on June - July - August - and September! Still a few spots left so message us if you want to join the fun!

07.01.2022 Today we finished our latest AI training course! This was the first course since the new CV-19 social distancing measures were introduced. Congrats to Brendan from Buladelah, Ashlea from Johns River, and Maddie from Scone. These 3 young people were real troopers and took all the CV-19 measures on board with no complaints. But equally important they excelled in their training - the right attitude - loads of patience - and sheer focus. I was so impressed and look ...forward to seeing how these 3 millennials go when they return home to put their newfound skill into practice. Bring on our NEXT course in May!

06.01.2022 This is taken from a FB group relating to the horrendous USA west coast fires that are blazing at the moment. Such a moving story..... I simply had to share it here... A lost calf that was accidentally left behind in the fire zone of a wildfire burning in eastern Oregon was rescued. A rancher had moved his cows off a grazing area that was being threatened by the fire. After he left, the rancher realized one calf was unaccounted for.... Unable to go back and look for the calf, the rancher notified fire officials. Fire officials then spread the word about the calf to about 400 wildland firefighters battling the fire. After surviving two nights alone on the range, the calf was located by a fire crew. The fire crews were able to safely reunite the calf with its mother. : Bureau Of Land Management

01.01.2022 Today is World Mental Health Day. This year has been a bloody tough one for all of us in one way or another - drought floods fires Covid and whatever other challenges you may have faced. My biggest mood lifter is taking a walk down to the paddock to see the girls with their bright eyes, clean and shiny coat and a wet shiny nose. Even a few minutes watching them chewing their cud is THE BEST anti-depressant. Perhaps I am a little bit crazy but does anyone else get a boost like this from watching their herd?
