The OEA Awar...ds cover 4 categories: * Outdoor Education Service Awards * Outdoor Practitioner of the Year * Outdoor Program of the Year * And the announcement of the Outdoor Education Fellows, where a small select group of people enters into the OEA Fellow network where they are able to use the post-nominals FOEA. 16.01.2022 Courtesy of the Blue Mountains Gazette It was announced by Lori Modde, CEO - Outdoors NSW & ACT, that the event would have to be postponed for the second year in a row and would now take place in 2022. "We don't want to put lives at risk or cause undue stress on attendees in travelling or returning to their state or territory at this time," she said in a statement.... "We want this to be a memorable and impactful event for the right reasons." Ms Modde said "another month on and things haven't seemed to have improved. In fact, it's worse for our sector in NSW as cases increase, restrictions increase and too many people are sick or dying from this dreaded disease." But she added: "The future is still bright and the outdoors remains the safest place to be for our community. What people in this industry have known for years about the benefits of the outdoors is now starting to filter through to communities as they experience it for themselves."
