I do not in anyway believe that you need to spend a fortune on interior design, but there are a few home heroes you should be investing your money in.... 1. Kitchen - plan the layout and integrate your appliances. 2. Flooring - whether you are leaning towards carpet, timber or tiles, do not skimp on a quality, durable flooring solution that will stand the test of time. Buy the best you can afford! 3. Lighting + Electrical - take the time to plan your electrical layout. There is nothing worse than inadequate lighting or power points. Invest in a statement pendant for a most frequented areas, such as in the kitchen/dining room. 4. Storage - you don't need to splurge on custom-made joinery for every nook and cranny (unless you can afford it), but think about maximising your space in the most organised way possible. Ikea and Marie Kondo are your best friends if you're on a budget. .
