23.01.2022 Almost a relaxing head and scalp massage... when Miss V wasn’t poking my eyes and putting the towel over my face I was able to enjoy. Benefits include.. It offers you an improved circulation of blood on the scalp and nourishes the hair roots, which supports growth.... It strengthens the roots of the hair. A scalp massage, especially using warm oils, relaxes the hair follicles. Hair that is moisturised regularly is less likely to split or break. When you get a proper scalp massage, it definitely provides a glow to the complexion of your face. It also helps regulate the thyroid and can also help to balance body temperatures. Your eyes too, get to relax, thus minimising chronic eye strain. The massage can also be a general tonic for hypersensitivity or excessive nervousness. It can also help awaken creativity centres in the brain. It has also proven to help in some cases of chronic headaches or migraines. Thank you @stephanie.moylan.1 @beauty_soul_and_evolve #healthyhairstartsfromwithin #healthyhair #longhairdontcare

22.01.2022 Today we had a special visit from Sophie from Pear Tree Wholefoods and Natalie from CHALM, our local health and family lifestyle mentor. Sophie donated various ...grains and dried fruits that can be purchased easily from her local store, and showed us how we can put together our own cereals and healthy snacks. This is continuing on with our focus on healthy eating and movement.

22.01.2022 17 Years Today ... Janine Vaughan was last seen getting into a bright red sedan on Keppel Street, Bathurst, about 4am on Friday, December 7, 2001. Still no answers and still awaiting for our town of Bathurst to have access to complete CCTV. Council has done their part and applied for further funding through state and federal levels so that our CBD is connected however other near by towns have had this technology implemented through such yet we are still in limbo! ... This is a disgrace! There is no coincidence that I chose this location earlier in the year to be interviewed in relation to issues surrounding community safety. Lauren Forbes This time of year I know people will be taking more risks, walking home from Christmas parties, the pub. Embracing everyone’s festive spirit but please be careful. Take in what is going on around you and the people you are with. Stay in groups and do not leave with someone you don’t know or alone. I may sound like a buzz kill but today I am thinking of you Janine To your family who still do not have answers for what happened to you. So many Christmas’ without their daughter, sister, aunty and friend. Be on the ball Be careful Be mindful of what your friends are doing. #protectedcommunityisaconnectedcommunity

20.01.2022 A bit funny that being the only woman as a guest at today’s luncheon that I managed to grab the foundation by the ball. I addressed some serious issues surrounding the message of support and greater vision for the foundation, what is being perceived and how I intend on growing my mid-west region whilst thinking nationally for what we can achieve for women, men and children of the Rugby League Family. Leading the way for a connected lifestyle. #communitysupportingcommunity #menofleague #lifestylemum #seeyouIraiseyou

19.01.2022 Ben is such an inspiring member of the Community . He is one of the most successful Australian Paralympian swimmers. Born in Wellington, Central West NSW. Whom had his arm amputated when he was just a child. ... Throughout Ben’s ten year elite swimming career he has; Captained for Australia and competed in three Paralympic Games, three worlds championships and numerous internationals. Wow three gold, seven silver and three bronze Paralympic medals Achieved 15 world records and 81 national records. Everything that came out of his speaking this evening was nothing less than amazing! What stood out for me was the motivational words, sharing his struggles and how his Mum from when he was a child conditioned his thoughts in such a way he knew he could achieve anything and the power of the mind creating a life of presence and purpose. Feeling so moved and grateful of the transitions into further inclusiveness with people with a disability but more can be done. #InternationalDayOfPeopleWithDisability

17.01.2022 I intend on presenting a proposal/plan to Council in relation to creating a system that supports the safety and income earned by workers in the CBD that have to use the timed parking and risk getting fined or their safety due to distance having to walk to their car at night, I see this as a serious issue especially with daylight savings coming to an end. If you have been fined whilst working, have to break your shift to move your car or have to walk and don’t feel safe to your car after finishing work in the CBD please get in touch with me. I will be coming around to CBD business’ in the fortnight to collect information but feel free to contact me on here also. Natalie Cox

13.01.2022 Today I had the privilege of being able to go to Vivienne’s school and do some cooking with her class. I loved being able to educate them on how to make an amended caramel slice so that everyone in the class could enjoy, including those with certain intolerances and adhering to the nut-free policy. Miss V loves having me there with her, even if she was the only child who was selectively listening and undertaking her own lesson at the end of the table -including mastering a ...sneaky spoon lick (I did wash it) It is super easy to make and requires no heat or baking. #trimtreats #glutenfree #dairyfree #nutfree Looking forward to some more fun with the school real soon! Nut Free Caramel Slice Base 2 cups desiccated coconut 2 tablespoons hulled tahini 2 tablespoons honey 2 tablespoons cacao or cocoa powder 1 tablespoon coconut cream 1 teaspoon vanilla extract A pinch of salt Filling 10 tablespoons hulled tahini 2 tablespoons honey 4 tablespoons maple syrup 2 tablespoons coconut oil, liquid 1 teaspoon vanilla extract Topping 4 tablespoons cacao or cocoa powder 6 tablespoons coconut oil, liquid 3 tablespoons maple syrup Line a square 20cm tin with baking paper overhanging the sides for easy removal. Place the base ingredients into your processor and blend at high speed until the mixture resembles a fine, sticky crumb. Press the mixture firmly into the base of your prepared tin and set aside. Place the ingredients for the middle layer into your processor and blend at medium speed until the mixture is smooth and well combined. Try to avoid over blending. Pour the mixture over your base and place in the fridge to set. Once set mix together the ingredients for your chocolate topping and pour the topping over your slice, spreading it out to cover the middle layer. Place the slice in the fridge to set. Serve. Eat and enjoy

02.01.2022 Sometimes the best remedies in life are the simplest ones. Salt water and sunshine... Natural sea salt contains the many minerals that our bodies need, like magnesium, calcium, sodium and potassium. ... Salt water is also said to benefit your skin in a variety of ways. It includes helping: Close open pores Soaks up excess oil Kills acne-causing bacteria Heals scrapes and cuts Exfoliates dead skin cells Restores skin’s natural pH Improves skin barrier function Enhances hydration Reduces inflammation All of these play a role in the health of our skin. Vitamins are nutrients that cannot be created by the body and therefore must be taken in through our diet. However, vitamin D can be synthesised by our body when sunlight hits our skin. Vitamin D has multiple roles in the body, helping to: Maintain the health of bones and teeth. Support the health of the immune system, brain, and nervous system. Regulate insulin levels and aid diabetes management. Supports lung function & cardiovascular health. My love of the ocean has been quite apparent this summer period however now with the shift of seasons and cooler temperatures coming our way I know I will have to be mindful of what foods I am consuming to keep my vitamin D in check however us as humans are not vitamin deficient we are whole food deficient. I am so grateful that I am able to consume a beautiful, clean, wholefood concentrate everyday that is clinically proven to also improve the microcirculation of my skin which includes the density, thickness and blood flow. This is the same concentrate that includes that magic nutrient Lutein iv previously spoken about. This helps increase the skins surface lipids, hydration and skin elasticity and provides protection from damaging effects of UV light-induced free radical production in and on the skin. Hello nature’s ongoing face lift. No matter how much cream, serums, masks we put on our skin unless we are protecting it on a cellular level we really are not able to sustainably look after it for the long term and to be honest #onesimplechange is all it takes. Reach out if you would like to know more #healthstartsfromwithin #powerofplants
