20.01.2022 **PLEASE READ** In response to the latest advice we have been given concerning the COVID-19 outbreak, we have made some necessary changes to our operations. All physical locations - including our head office in Randwick, PALM/CALM, the Street Universities, and Op Shops - are temporarily closed. We have made this decision because the health and safety of our staff, young people, and the wider community is our highest priority. However, we are still able to be contacted via the...se toll-free numbers: NSW/ACT: 1800 151 045 QLD: 1800 753 300 We will also continue to provide counselling services via videoconference, FaceTime, and phone, and via a new online space (more to come). So if you need to refer a young person, please get in contact!

16.01.2022 #Febfast is over for another year and it was a wild ride. Ups and downs. Lefts and rights. But it was and is worth it. We greatly appreciate everyone is participated and know that it all counts!! "Being let into their [young people] lives to help and support them as best they need is an amazing feeling that cannot be described. To see them grow throughout their time with our service is a main reason why I love my job." - Ben

15.01.2022 Its important to make it very clear - to politicians and media - exactly how pill testing works. With this in mind, we held a pill testing demonstration today... at Ted Noffs Foundation HQ alongside our colleagues at Pill Testing Australia, DanceWize, Harm Reduction Australia and others. Video to come!

13.01.2022 Today is the first day for our febfasters who are calling time out on alcohol or sugar and raising money to support the work we do. And for that we are grateful. We cant wait to hear about their journeys #pauseforacause https://bit.ly/37Na5HK

13.01.2022 "It was hard at the start. I constantly thought I should leave and that I would rather be locked up. As time went on with the help from my counsellor, I started to realise that there was more to life. That I did not need drugs. That I could work through my issues. That I could change." - Female, 16yo. Funds raised directly and through initiatives like #Febfast do make a difference to the young people that we work with. Help get our #febfasters over the line by visiting https://www.febfast.org.au/sponsor to donate.

11.01.2022 Back when the COVID-19 outbreak was first taking hold, two workers from our PALM centre in Canberra, Paul and Lindsay, decided to run a marathon to raise funds and awareness for the Ted Noffs Foundation's work. Their goal was to raise $2,000. After months of challenging training in between shift work, supported by family, friends and the PALM Community, they finally ran together, completing eight laps of Lake Burley Griffin - a total of 44kms! It took them 4 hours, 35 minutes and 24 seconds with a couple of short breaks for water and words of encouragement along the way. In the end Paul and Lindsay raised $3,230.68, smashing their goal out of the park. Thank you to all who donated, and to Paul and Lindsay for your incredible efforts for the PALM team and residents!

11.01.2022 Febfasting and have plans for tonight? Take a 24-hour break from your fast by buying yourself a Time Out Pass and feel no guilt while raising a glass or tucking into some cake. Time Out Passes act as a donation to the #febfast cause and help to make Valentines Day your own. Have a love-filled day!

07.01.2022 Tocumwal: A man has died from a suspected drug overdose at a music festival overnight. Police say the 24-year-old was taken to a medical tent after midnight at ...the Strawberry Fields Festival. He then went into cardiac arrest and died. His death follows a coronial inquiry into drug overdoses at festivals after six young people died over two years. "Its sad to think that a year on after the worst summer weve seen, the worst tragedy that weve seen losing so many young at New South Wales festivals, that nothing has changed. Im incredibly sad today ... and Im surprised that the premier has already come out, saying that pill testing wouldnt have worked to save this young persons life, wouldnt have worked to reduce the harm, when the premier isnt a doctor." - Matt Noffs - CEO - Ted Noffs Foundation More: 7news.link/p4AGWi #nswpol #7NEWS
