21.01.2022 Many of my gowns are world travellers and this one was created for a Hindi wedding. Nirma a tiny size 5 came to me earlier this year to make a traditional outfit to wear for her cousins wedding in Mauritius. Here she is looking absolutely beautiful!

People often shy away from sewing jerseys thinking they are difficult to handle. The hems are left raw on this top and I have many tips for attaining that professional finish. 17.01.2022 This top is made from chambray with a small frayed eyelet hole all over. It lends itself perfectly to the raw edges on the neck and armhole bands. The hems are left raw also. 05.01.2022 The most frequently asked question about my sewing lessons is "what do you make in the lesson." As all of my students have different skill levels the choice of a project is individual. I recommend simpler items for beginners of course, but it is always good to challenge yourself and that is exactly what Stephanie likes to do! This jacket is her latest creation. A mixture of woven fabric with a loose weave and a contrast of a foil finished stretch fabric. Very challenging and very well made. Congratulations Steph!
