18.01.2022 Sorry to report our valued member Ian Gardner (Gards to most) ...... has been admitted to hospital. He currently does not have his mobile so cannot be contacted. Wendy tells me hes not a well chappie at the moment but the outlook is good so look out for him again in the near future . I will give location and contact details for any visits within the next couple of days. Regards to you all, and just spare a thought for him..... Cheers !!

17.01.2022 Due to some mindless idiotic action to harm our club by flooding it, our Opening Day activities, on Saturday 14 September, when we fly our winning Pennant from last season, will be restricted whilst the club is drying out. BUT ......we will still celebrate in our usual way, I hope everyone will come and join us if only to show the shithead who did his worse, that because you have a grudge and are not man enough to sort yourself out. We are stronger and better without you , so crawl back into your hole ratbag. To our members, come and lets make it a worthwhile day of celebration.

16.01.2022 So today at the club we crowned Dean Poggi the single champion for the 2019/2020 season along with Steve Hurley the 2019/2020 novice champion. Well done to all... the played, however, Dean Poogi overcame Pele to win the mens singles. Steve Hurley as a brand new bowler out played his competition to come out on top. Thank you to all the supporters that cheered on the sidelines. Lets keep up the cheer squad for the club x

09.01.2022 What a super response weve had from many of our members who have turned up to play . Its the sort of response you can only hope for in these unusual times. The welcome support is perhaps only a drop in the ocean of the income lost during the shutdown, but the spirit of the support will help to make it a stronger club when we all get through these times. To all those members who have shown support, a great big heartfelt thank you.

08.01.2022 Today 21 March we bid farewell at Pinneroo to Morrie Lehmann. Our sympathy to Brad and all the family at their loss of one of our special members, a Club singles champion, Club Treasurer, Chairman of Selectors, competition Sponsor and club mate and friend to everyone. He shared in memorable games, as photos will show. You will be missed Morrie, but we are glad your recent painful journey is now at rest. Rest In Peace mate .

08.01.2022 Hoping all our members are keeping safe and at home. This past week some of the rules of outdoor sports have changed. We have now been given the go ahead for some bowls to recommence. The following is from Derek Janes the president of the Nollamara Bowling Club. The conditions laid down by Bowls Australia to allow bowls to take must be followed. ... The Sports and Rec/Bowling Club need to make arrangements to comply, hopefully (?), these can be completed by this coming weekend, until they are completed (ie Sanitiser, Disinfectant, Jacks and Mats cleaned and disinfected etc) NO BOWLING CAN TAKE PLACE, when bowling can commence, there is maximum of 10 bowlers per green, NO SPECTATORS, Social distancing, Singles or Pairs only, each bowler acting as lead must have own mat and jack, no shared equipment or bowls. Most important is that one person not a bowler to oversee the conditions are being met, and maintain a record of those attending, their playing partners and opponents. Please read carefully all the conditions in the Bowls Australia release. It will be necessary for a system of booking to bowl to be set up, until available I suggest names to play under these conditions are text to me, derekj@westnet .com.au Lastly to offset the loss of revenue from normal Bar Sales, a charge of $10 will be made for each player. Please remember it is illegal to bring alcohol for consumption into the Club. At present all licensed premises are closed, our surrounds to the greens are licensed and would be included in the ban.
