04.01.2022 If you like to experiance the benefits of natural hemp on your body, and use natures finest in lotions, soaps, lip balms and other products, please help to fill out survey and save the Australian industry from the government trying to BAN all Safe hemp products The TGA announced it has deferred making a final decision on proposed changes to the scheduling of cannabis and tetrahydrocannabinols (THC) in the Poisons Standard - the legal instrument setting out the Federal Gover...nment’s recommended controls the States and Territories should exercise over various drugs and poisons. Essentially, this means that if these proposed changes go ahead, they will effectively ban a number of currently legal low-THC hemp products, including cosmetics and topical ointments containing hemp oil, unlawful. These could be products you use daily, including soaps, body wash, hair products, lotion, etc. There has been no evidence presented that suggests that such hemp products are unsafe and there were no external submissions calling for the banning of these lawful products. The Federal Government has asked for more information about the Australian hemp product industry, which faces a very uncertain future should the proposed changes go ahead. Industry stakeholders have commissioned this survey to gather data to assist the Federal government to understand the impact that the proposed scheduling restrictions will have on the hemp industry in Australia. Thank you in advance for completing the survey and we appreciate you sharing it with anyone in your networks who may be affected by these changes.
