19.01.2022 Some photos from the hockey grand finals on Saturday. The fast pace and a tiny tiny ball makes it a challenge to keep up with the action. The more you zoom in, the harder it gets! Shot with Canon 70-200mm at f2.8. Most shots are between 1/500 and 1/1000sec at ISO400 or 800.

18.01.2022 Port Douglas sunrise.

17.01.2022 Fitzroy Jetty at night. Amazing how you can bring the colours out at night if you give the camera some time to collect enough light. The moon is behind the clouds so it lights up the sky but doesnt overpower the scene 13sec at f2.8, ISO100

17.01.2022 Different takes on the same scene... Granite Gorge under the Milky Way with the moon rising. Some shots are illuminated with a torch.

15.01.2022 Ive been the photographer at a few netball carnivals and the action is so fast! Its a fun challenge to keep up with the pace and get some shots that show the action, determination and skill of the game. 1/3200sec, f/5.6 at 190mm.

14.01.2022 I feel like well see some water flowing in our creeks again soon!

08.01.2022 Was lucky enough to get out for the Perseids and the Aquarids meteor showers and even got meteors from both in the one exposure. You can also just make out the Andromeda galaxy above the yellow light. The strange lighting around the bridge is all from the pre-dawn traffic going over Peets Bridge. Camera settings: 25sec, f2.8, ISO1600 at 16mm.

07.01.2022 A tourist greets the sunrise at Trinity Wharf. Cairns, FNQ

06.01.2022 The Milky Way is so clear once you get away from light pollution. This little shed is in Chillagoe, lit up by my head-torch during a long exposure. 25sec, f2.8, ISO3200 at 14mm.

05.01.2022 Trying a 360 Milky Way shot in the Daintree.

02.01.2022 Granite Gorge under the stars... it was freezing and lonely in the dark but it was also very peaceful waiting for each exposure. 25sec, f2.8, ISO3200 at 16mm.

01.01.2022 The Archways (Chillagoe) is full of weird formations and nice light coming in from everywhere. 1/50sec, f4, ISO1600 at 16mm.

01.01.2022 Once you stop worrying about your camera getting wet that dreary weather combined with off-camera flash can add a nice dramatic feel to the scene.
