20.01.2022 Introducing the Nominate App! Nominate have released a new version of our rebranded Scoreboard app for riders, with additional features. Use the app to enter events, check in contact free at events or club days, receive results and withdraw from events.... The added bonus of contactless check in makes the app especially useful for clubs who wish to reopen and run clinics or events, ensuring riders and event volunteers are easily able to comply with traceability rules. There is no need to go to a secretaries desk to check in as a QR code can be scanned at the gate when the riders arrive! All of our staff have seen your lovely comments and they have brightened what has been a very intense and uncertain week. 19.01.2022 Dear Riders We are in the process of processing refunds for a large number of events and due to the sheer number of transactions involved this will take some time to complete so we ask for your patience in these extraordinary times. Nominate provides a service to event organisers in the collection and management of entries for equestrian events. This service reduces the workload of event organisers, reduces event costs as they don’t have to bank cheques and deal with paper en...tries anymore, and makes the process easier for riders. Nominate is a small business and we charge a fee for the service that we provide. This is set out in our terms of service document which is on the Nominate website. In the past, Nominate has been extremely flexible in terms of processing refunds where events have been cancelled. We have generally waived our fees in the case of event cancellations, even though this costs us real money in terms of processing these transactions. We are currently facing a complete loss of income for an unknown period of time and in these circumstances we do not believe it is unreasonable for us to be charging for the services that we have already provided to clubs by collecting their event entry fees. Some clubs have stated that they will pay our fee in the same manner as if their events had gone ahead, and some clubs have asked us to deduct our fee from the refunds that we provide to riders. Unfortunately, a small number of clubs are of the opinion that we should not be charging at all for the services we have already provided them and the service that we are continuing to provide by processing refunds on their behalf. Our aim is to keep our staff employed for as long as possible in these difficult times, as we know that the current situation of event cancellations will not last forever. The team at Nominate.

15.01.2022 . Trailblazing QLD club goes completely paperless with scoring for their ODE over the weekend. All three phases were scored using phones and tablets. Dressage and showjumping on Saturday were scored on tablets, which made the results available instantaneously, and then the cross country jump judges on Sunday either used their phones or tablets to score each rider over each jump. Spectators were able to follow the... cross country action in real time, jump by jump on the Nominate Equestrian app. Riders received their cross country times and penalties as soon as they crossed the finish line.

13.01.2022 An attempt was made this afternoon to access the EA members portal MyEA, by inserting a large number of random 7 digit numbers. This resulted in a large number of Forgot my password emails being sent to EA members. Once we became aware of the breach, we immediately blocked the attack and have now added additional security measures to avoid this type of attack in the future. At no point was any member information accessed, nor our system breached.... Unfortunately the attempt has generated a large number of I forgot my password emails to EA members. We apologise for any inconvenience that this has caused. If you received one (or multiple) of these emails, you can safely disregard them.
