25.01.2022 Weve been involved in the Kitchen and Front of House redesign at Fresh on Charles and working with Studentworks out Rocherlea to produce concrete benchtops. The guys(and girls) at Fresh are working really hard at refreshing everything from the logo, decor and more importantly a brand spanking new menu that is sourced locally, healthy and mighty tasty! Soft opening starting next week, come down and support this local institution!

21.01.2022 This is one of our residential projects that excite us the most out Newstead that involves using 2 Storey Strawbale wall design along the southern walls alongside modern rendered walls and existing weatherboard front facades. Here are some of the 3D white cardboard model renders we produce for clients during the conceptual stage along with some more detailed renders of the internal spaces. You can follow the week by week construction process at our building partners fb page: https://m.facebook.com/profile.php?id=199958186685750

21.01.2022 Weve been involved in the organisation of the Design Tasmania Open day this Saturday. Hope to see you guys there!

20.01.2022 Besides doing Building Design and documentation, our services include doing 3D visualization of any given project. In this instance, we have collaborated with a local Architect to completely model and photo-render a proposed building for her client as a way to get an idea of the spatial qualities of the exterior. It also serves as a very important tool for clients to decide paint color, textures and landscaping decisions for the project. We also do visualizations of object/objects. Contact us for details.

12.01.2022 influence, inspiration and experience. If only we all could be touched by architecture and the people around us like in this film

11.01.2022 Some shots from today.

11.01.2022 Weve got given the old Launceston Map found and salvaged from a local cafe and with some free timber boxes (and couple of nails) it has become our new office meeting table :)

09.01.2022 Weve been quiet as weve been busy over the last few months getting few projects off the ground but summer and the new year is here and there is a few things starting to happen. Time to share some things weve been up to. Thanks for the likes! Keep them coming :)

04.01.2022 Some progress photos from a recent project in Newstead nearing completion. A mixture of existing weatherboards, Modern 70mm Exin foam panels and A southern Strawbale Wall. Not far off!

03.01.2022 We folks at Mathinna Design Studio are passionate about eco-effective design. To practice what we preach, weve been out pea farms in Sassafras earlier this week sourcing and manually loading up a few big truckloads of fresh dry and tightly packed Strawbales for projects coming up including our new home office/studio. Strawbales (from pea-straw) provide an insulation R-value of R12 and can be sourced locally and cheaply for possibly one of the best quality walls(fireproof, vermin-proof, durable and highly insulative) you can build.

02.01.2022 Very exciting news to announce shortly....stay tuned....

01.01.2022 3D modelling and Photorendering collaboration
