21.01.2022 Thanks Megan Webber for swimming 10km with me, and for bringing Fish along to paddle the Kayak. Congratulations on your first 10km continuous swim - you smashed it

20.01.2022 After the third lap, around 11am we had a chat about options with the heat (hi of 39 deg C forecasted for today and tomorrow). My ride lap time was much slower than when I did a practice lap a week or so ago, and I was looking to finish the 420 km bike around 3am tomorrow at the earliest (not 6 pm tonight as previously estimated) hence had no chance of finishing the run by mid day Sunday before temperatures started approaching mid to high 30s. This wasn't considered a safe option so we decided to abort the attempt after 3 laps. Thanks for everyone's awesome support. Check out my activity on Strava: https://strava.app.link/IufkKNukpT

20.01.2022 Dave is turning around near old Tallangata (half lap 42/84 kms)

16.01.2022 Beautiful morning for riding, nice and cool. 183km done since finishing the swim yesterday. Got progressive cooler last night. Not sure how far I'll go before it gets too hot, or i've had enough. Gonna be 38 deg C today, and will be over 30 deg C before mid day. Yesterday was only 32 deg C, and still got a bit cooked in the sun on the first lap. Don't like my chances of getting in another lap after this one.

15.01.2022 Dave is crossing Sandy Creek Rail Bridge outbound (quarter lap 21/84 kms)

11.01.2022 Another lap, 168km down.

11.01.2022 Thanks Andy and Stacey for coming out to support on Friday night and Saturday. I really appreciated the surprise in the middle of the night in the middle of nowhere. I also really enjoyed catching up with you both for pizza and drinks last night, then a recovery ride this morning.

07.01.2022 Heading out on second lap now. Long stop at home to cool down, rehydrate, and have a bit of dinner. It was warm and dry out there today. Looking forward to a cool evening.
