25.01.2022 MEET THE TEAM - John Garrett, Founding Director. After a 25 year career as a commercial lawyer having graduated with a Bachelor of Laws from Sydney University, John worked in the corporate environment, he privatised the first public Hospital in Australia, syndicated projects with Lend Lease, including BOO bids for health-related public utilities, worked out corporate reconstructions and refinancing, advisory work in pharmaceutical and educational accommodation among others.... John became actively involved in NonTox in July 2017. He forged a relationship for NonTox with the Department of Primary Industry’s weeds division and was responsible for negotiating the inclusion of NonTox in the GATE, which is a NSW Department of Primary Industries (DPI) initiative to fast-track the development of ag-tech to increase productivity. John moved the operations of NonTox to the Central West of New South Wales in order to be alongside the DPI’s best weed scientists. This collaboration brought about a Project Based Trial of the NonTox herbicide to target a sought-after solution to post emergent control methods for glyphosate tolerant or resistant weeds.
