24.01.2022 This week, while raising funds for the Baby Give Back giving day, we have seen many different characters. Here are just a few. remember every baby matters. #everybabycounts
22.01.2022 Cutting gives young children independent movements of each finger. Cutting with scissors works on the separation of two sides of the hand and strengthens hand muscles. Bilateral coordination is also addressed when they have to hold the scissors in one hand and paper in the other. Cutting can be quite challenging for young children but our Educators are always on hand to provide support.
22.01.2022 Today we offered the children a selection of oil pastels and a piece of paper and asked them to try them out, to see what they thought about them and how they might be different to the crayons we used yesterday. Soft, bright, fun, were some of their responses. Children are effective communicators and through the creative arts, children learn to make meaning and freely express their thoughts, ideas and feelings.

18.01.2022 Today, the final day of Our Baby Give Back Giving Day fundraiser, 4 of our Educators and our Centre Manager took part in a Squat Challenge. We are pleased to say from our Challenge alone we raised $250 and completed 70 squats. However, a massive shout out to all our families. You have all dug deep this week supporting us to support an amazing charity, Baby Give Back. Due to your generous donations every baby requiring their assistance will have a safe start in life. As a whole, Scholars Consulting and The Scholars Group we have raised $45,000. Thank you, we are truly appreciative and blown away by your support #everybabycounts
18.01.2022 Our worm farm is fascinating our children, making them the perfect addition to our campus. Our worm farm is allowing us to recycle our food scraps but it also has many environmental benefits, including recycling food scraps, minimising food waste that goes to landfill and creating natural garden fertiliser. Each day our children participate in feeding the worms and spinning our compost bin.

15.01.2022 What a beautiful day to be heading to bush kinder. While enjoying the outdoor environment and being in the community our children gain skills such as increased confidence and motivation , social skills, language and a respect for the natural environment. At the park we used our balance and upper body strength to negotiate the climbing frames and obstacle course.
11.01.2022 Baby Give Back is in full swing at Nook. Come on down with your donations, grab a sausage sizzle and say Hi.
11.01.2022 Continuing on with our fundraising for Baby Give Back Giving Day, 5 of our Educators are taking part in a Squat Challenge where you are able to sponsor them per squat that they do. 10.01.2022 Our Nursery children loved the story Colouroos so much that after the story they were eager to paint their own Colouroo.

06.01.2022 Messy play like finger painting is important to every child’s development. It helps the body and brain integrate information, such as that needed for later spatial concepts, math and language. It’s also a lot of fun. From mixing colours and making patterns in the paint, the children then used a piece of paper and by placing it on top of the pattern they had created, took a print of it. The smiles on their faces say it all.
05.01.2022 Uninterrupted play encourages Cognitive Development and a Child's ability to solve problems. ... Children learn to solve problems for themselves. Their brains thrive on the challenge! Creativity and imagination flows, they develop their own thinking skills, and invent interesting and different ways of resolving situations. These little cuties spent all morning in the soft fall area, in the fresh air creating and inventing their own birthday party. Many moments of laughter, role playing, sharing, working together, and engaging were had. They were able to use their imaginations to participate in play with no structure, interruptions or restrictions.
03.01.2022 Such a successful morning at our Baby Give Back collection morning. Thank you to everyone who came down and donated, it is greatly appreciated and your donations will go along way in helping those in need, so thank you.
