10.01.2022 Excited to be working once again with our friends at Noongar Chamber of Commerce and Industry Wirrpanda Foundation and @BlackCoffee to celebrate Indigenous Business Month and our fantastic Indigenous entrepreneurs and business people.

10.01.2022 We are all very excited with the first load of plants heading from Kununurra to Bawoorrooga as the beginning of the integrated orchard. We will eventually have ...over 700 plants from more than 30 species. The first batch are fast growing nurse plants, wind breaks, nitrogen fixing crops, and cover crops. This first batch includes Pigeon pea, Sesbania, Moringa, Lemon grass, Aloe Vera, Brazilian spinach, and Arrowroot. Thanks to Laura Priest from Arkadias Plantourifarmacation and the Department of Communities Garden Grants for partnering with us to help Bawoorrooga build on their dream of providing the community with fresh fruit and vegetables and work towards economic sustainability.

03.01.2022 With day one concluded, here is a quick recap on the start to the summer school program! What a fantastic first day we had. The students got the day to explore... a little bit of Whadjuk Noongar Boodja. A big Thank You to Dr Richard Walley OAM for welcoming us to country and sharing the stories and knowledge of the Noongar people and culture. Following this, the fantastic Karen Jacobs, Director of Bookitja, gave a guided tour of the grounds of Optus (Whadjuk) Stadium and discussed the collaborations of Aboriginal businesses and culture in the design and construction of the stadium. To the top off the first day, we had the opportunity to watch the Big Bash League attending the indigenous round where the Perth Scorchers took on the Sydney Thunder. Stay tuned for more exciting updates of our activities throughout the week! #NIBSSWA2020 Edith Cowan University (ECU) Curtin University Murdoch University School of Indigenous Studies, UWA - Shenton House University of Western Australia Business School
