The industry employs around 15,000 people & injects roughly 2 billion dollars into the Australian economy each year. Sugarcane takes from 10 to 18 months to mature before harvesting which typically occurs between June & December when the sugar content is the highest!... Unlike commercial refineries our Sugarcane is hand harvested & cleaned year round before being cold pressed to order on site. All our ingredients are locally sourced, %100 natural & unrefined! Our management have been busy beautifing the market grounds & re designing the layout of stalls to meet covid regulations. Our site has moved to the opposite end of the food court.... 11.01.2022 The Original Eumundi Markets have made the decision to temporarily close the market due to COVID-19. This decision was made due to concerns regarding our abilit...y to enforce the current social distancing requirements and our concern for the health and wellbeing of stallholders, staff, market visitors and the local community. After 41 years of facilitating a local market that currently supports over 250 small business owners, the Original Eumundi Markets look forward to welcoming back our stallholders and visitors when we re-open the market in the near future.

09.01.2022 We are an essential food service and the Queensland State Government has informed all our stallholders that we may remain open. We will continue to offer our co...mmunities the opportunity to buy fresh and locally sourced food from known growers and producers, at a time when there is a need to maintain food supply for a healthy diet. We do take the Covid19 situation very seriously and are taking additional measures to minimise the risk of exposure for our stallholders and customers. We are rolling out new procedures, including: Removal of all food sampling and tasting. Removal of all tables and seating to limit lingering and encourage social distancing. Spreading out stalls where possible and widening the walkways Increased hand washing and disinfecting surfaces on all stalls. We ask you, our customers, to please: Not attend the market if you are in a high-risk category, have recently returned from overseas, are feeling unwell or showing symptoms of COVID-19. Not bring your own ‘keep cups’ for now Use the handwashing facilities available Stick to the recommended social distancing advice Thank you to all of our customers for your support of our farmers during this difficult time.
