23.01.2022 Been a great weekend of racing and some awesome results across several events from the MSC stable. On Saturday at the Moreton Bay Half Marathon Lucinda Kinnear was 3rd in 50-54 in a very solid 1.55. Some bonus minutes in there seeing the goal was 1.59 Saturday morning at the Mudjimba Island swim Jeanette Grigoris and Sam Cooke both raced and came ashore in 1.15 and 1.20 respectively ... At the Moreton Bay Tri over the club distance of 1/30/7.5 Judy Kensington was 2nd in 35-39 in 1.44, Juliette Neve 3rd in 45-49 in 1.55, Mel Campbell 6th in 40-44 in 2.00, Peter Hancox 10th in 50-54 in 2.08 Making his Tri Debut was Peter Eaglen in the enticer with 6th in the 45+ age group and giving a few years away going up against some young bucks The long course event was over 2/60/15 and a good step up for those looking to do a 70.3 and served as a good race day fine tune and prep for several MSC athletes doing IM and 70.3 Cairns in 4 weeks time Nick Kensington was 4th in 50-54 in 3.14, Annie Alford 1st 35-39 in 3.20, Mark Martin was 7th in 50-54 in 3.26, Brooke Farley 4th in 35-39 in 3.32, Carlos Taraborrelli was 2nd in Clydesdales in 3.34, Tim Rook 11th in 50-54 in 3.35, Ken Rae won 70-74 in 3.48, Jake Percy in his first long event went 3.54 for 25th in 35-39, Marty Doyle also stepped up for his first long course and was 25th in 50-54 in 3.55 In Byron Bay Jackie Freer won the 40-44 sprint in 1.13, in the Olympic distance Aqua Bike Renee Reynolds won the 70-74 in 2.15, In the OD Tri Perry Nation was 2nd in 60-64 in 2.12, Basil Macreadie 5th in 60-64 in 2.27 and Simon Walsh did his first OD for 12th in 45-49 in 2.37 Super proud of everyone lining up and having a crack as always. Places, PBs are nice of course but we get so much more from this lifestyle we choose and have some great mates to do it with in training and on race day #beyourbest #trainforhealth



23.01.2022 Last weekend saw MSC athletes taking on some different challenges around the traps. In NSW in the Blue Mountains Sam Cooke tackled the UTA 50 ultra run that takes in 4400m of elevation and 8000 steps! Sam got over the line 7hr20min in what is one of the great runs in Australia. On Stradbroke Island just off the coast from Brisbane Jeanette Grigoris was 2nd on the 50-59 Straddie Pure (road tri) and Noosa squad regular Anka Franzmann won the 60+ Straddie Salute (Off road MTB)... Tri In addition to the top performances at the Noosa Park run mentioned yesterday. At Longreach Park run in western QLD Dan Prosser was first home in his local 5km last Saturday ramping up his running as he recovers from his recent Dead Cow Gully performance and gears up for the 100km Simpson Desert Ultra in just over 2 weeks time. Back in Noosa last weekend and the Gravel ride aptly named the Noosa Rise and Grind Jules Drysdale and Nick Kensington went around the hilly 100km course enjoying a perfect Autumns day put in the Noosa hinterland Well done everyone Races coming up are Kingscliff Tri and Aquabike and Ironman and 70.3 Cairns #beyourbest

23.01.2022 Two of the MSC crew lined up at a Last Man standing Ultra over the QLD Labour day long weekend in Kilcoy west of the Sunny Coast. Around a 6.7k loop aptly named Dead Cow Gully, Dan Prosser who we coach in Long reach who was at his first Ultra and Trev Allen who has many Ultras under his belt from our Noosa run squad. Basically you keep going till u can't line up at the start line for the next 6.7km lap. You have 1hr to do the lap and can do as u please with the time up your ...sleeve inside the hour. Run 35min u get 25min break, 50min is 10min. Dan did 13 laps for 87km for 27th out of 88 starters and Trev did 26 laps for 174km and was 5th. At time of post 2 runners are still slugging it out approaching 40 laps Well done Dan and Trev. Inspirational stuff. We'll see Trev at run Squad in Noosa as usual this Wednesday morning #beyourbest #setnolimits

22.01.2022 Last week at the races we saw Renee Reynolds take out the 65-69 Aquabike (1.5/40) at Kingscliff Tri. At Park Run last week run squad Junior Lachlan Graham took some more time off his 5km Noosa Park run to 17.51 as he lines up at Sunshine coast Regional Cross country next week. Jackie Freer took her Park run Noosa time to 19.37 as she fine tunes towards her first marathon in Brisbane next weekend and Dan Prosser took out the Longreach Park run as he gets set to tackle the Simpson Desert 100km Ultramarathon next Saturday. Next weekend MSC have 12 athletes lining up at Ironman and 70.3 Cairns with some doing their first half or full distance. 13.01.2022 A bit of racing action update from last 2 weekend's. At the Ewen Maddock Dam SEQ Trial run on Easter Sunday on sum Sunny coast Alise Selsmark won 30-39, Run squad regulars Anka Franzmann was 3rd in 60-69 and Jo Dean 14th in 50-59. ... Last weekend Mark Preston in 65-69 age group in Sydney won an ITT on the bike over 20k the Saturday then backed up for a 2nd overall in an Aqua Bike over 600/ 32 Sunday. He heads up to the Gold Coast for Aust Masters Surf swim racing this weekend. At the Gold Coast Sprint tri Alise Selsmark won 35-39, Basil Macreadie 2nd in 60-64, Pete Hancox 16th 50-54 and Luca Van Der Walt 14th in 15-16s. Simon Walsh did his first tri over sprint distance in Wollongong NSW and was 15th in 45-49. In Newcastle NSW Leah Jay did the Half Marathon run Sunday in 2.11 for 12th in 50-54 Coach Jan Croft was at State masters pool champs over 3 days at Kawana on the sunny coast and Won 400 free, 2nd in 800, 3rd over 100 and 200 and picked up some gold and silver in relays in 75-79 age group. Great results towards the end of the summer season with more to come in the coming weeks and months ahead #beyourbest
