Wed 5:30pm - Sweat Sat 7:30am - Sweat The goal is not weight loss, not physical fitness, and not body sculpting. We are not a gym, not a yoga studio, not pilates or PT. The goal of Movement Therapy is overall wellness, feeling refreshed, re-energised, renewed from the inside, and grateful for your body’s ability to move. You will leave feeling calmer than when you walked in, being reminded of who you are and what you are capable of, and ready for your week mentally, emotionally and physically.

18.01.2022 Feeling a little tired and weary from the week. But we show up. No expectation. Just showing up.... We move a little and we listen if we can do a little more. If not that’s ok. If we can that’s fine too. Either way your body, mind and soul are grateful. You took care of you, for you. To fill your cup. To feel a little more like yourself again. Teaching a Saturday morning Sweat class has always been my favourite. I’m just so happy to lead and move with a great little community.

12.01.2022 Last Saturday class for the year in this beautiful space. When I say beautiful I don’t just mean aesthetically (which it is) But beautiful because of the people that created it, their intention behind it, the team that works here (just good fun, caring humans ) and of course the community of clients/friends who show up each week for themselves and also for the community. We come here to feel more like ourselves again.... To shift the tensions that build up just simply from the human experience. To feel the strength that we have in our hearts and in our minds. And as the wonderful @barrewithadrienne put it it to workout to feel more alive not to be smaller. If you love the sound of being apart of this join in next year. We don’t do high volume numbers and classes but rather high quality and care for every class.

While you might recognise some postures if you're familiar with yoga, barre, dance, somatics or embodiment, this isn't yoga and it isn't fitness. This is The Movement. 11.01.2022 It’s not that movement classes @remindedmind won’t help you get physically stronger. Sure they will. But what’s more important to us is helping you have a stronger and healthier (not perfect) - but healthier relationship with yourself. How can you embrace a healthy, vibrant and strong body if the relationship with yourself is punishing, filled with constant self judgment and criticism.... Learning to listen and feel what your body needs in a safe space can be a great start to redefining the relationship you have with your body, fitness and wellness. When the relationship you have with yourself shifts; ‘working out’ in whatever form that is for you, becomes something you’re devoted to from a place of care and respect for what your body can do. And it becomes a lot more fun

Because that feeling that you’re not enough, that you’re doing it wrong, that what you do is never good enough, that worry, the anxiety, the self-doubt. 04.01.2022 So it's International Women's Day. And certainly I'm blessed to have some amazing, resilient and passionate women in my life. Beginning with my mum, then friends, industry colleague, mentors, and women in my workplace. And I'm extremely fortunate to be alive in era where the options for me are endless. And where the men in my life support my passions and believe in me. However- from a body image, productivity and wellness perspective we've got a ways to go. This is an indus...try that continues to perpetuate the conditioning/fixing of women and their bodies. It continues to sell and thrive on pushing, hustling and "keeping up with the latest instagram celebrity". Be consistent. Do all the rituals. And if you can't there's something wrong with you. aka you're lazy and you're not focused. Punishing workouts that lead to whacked out hormones and burnout are still front and centre. It may seem to be delivered in prettier wrapping (i.e. "mindful movement and images of beautifully presented food") - but inside it's still the same shit. I want women to know they aren't broken - the wellness world is. They don't have to want or be it all. That productivity and exhaustion don't validate your worth. That you're a cyclical being worthy of celebrating and rest is not a reward - it's critical.
