25.01.2022 The truth about our first Australians is slowly being revealed.
25.01.2022 Please become a financial member, I encourage everyone to become a member of the Noosa Chamber we collaborate with the Eumundi & Cooroy Chambers, Tourism Noosa, NSC and Noosa Hinterland Residents Association to do great things for our region.
25.01.2022 We need to make paddock to the plate produce more convenient than supermarket shopping, we can overcome this trend. https://www.facebook.com/662860027/posts/10156744195520028
24.01.2022 A giant leap forward for Cooroy, our Business Park is coming out of the ground 39 people working on site to create 39 new business units. Shot in the arm for the local economy. On Taylor Court off Holts Road previously the Boral Timber Mill, closed down under the Queensland government regional forestry agreement. Ironically it will now potentially employ 10 times the number of people previously employed as a Timber Mill. Get behind the business Park built by locals for loca...ls. Your chance, to make a choice, change/secure your future. #country noosa #cooroy chamber of commerce #noosa shire council See more
24.01.2022 It’s going up as we speak, the builders suggest this will be one of the most sophisticated industrial developments on the Sunshine Coast. Biggest single commercial expansion in Cooroy region ever. Cooroybusinesspark provides the opportunity for up to 38 businesses at this location, estimates suggested over 50 people will be employed within the Business Park once it’s operational. Various types of sheds are available from storage through to workshops, other uses include boxing gym and a Whiskey/Gin distillery. This Taylor Ct site is adjacent to the NSC approved Bruce Highway service station site, if that business is developed it’s will provide a further economic stimulus to our region.
24.01.2022 Local home takes out first prize a credit to the builder and the owners on creating a spectacular property.
24.01.2022 Overview Oz bushfires, the cause and what we have to do to prevent them in the future! If everyone approaches this with an open mind we can fix it.
23.01.2022 The lockdown is going to get more rigourous over the coming days and weeks, stay safe, stay happy there is light at the end of the tunnel
23.01.2022 Please help get the facts out, at least 115 trucks fought this fire last night, at about 5am and the Peregian Pub, IGA, Servo all were defended and saved, they weren’t gone at 5am! They lost some front yards and sheds, not many homes, very bad conditions again today but, they can mobilise water bombers Keep getting updates from QFES FB and radio, one of the worst fire storms local firefighters have ever been involved with.... Firies are doing the best they can, just get the facts out please
23.01.2022 Super cach Courtney for all your hard work the moulding the under 16 girls into a formidable team. Your skill and dedication is very much appreciated thank you
23.01.2022 Let’s work together to open up more of the pre-existing gazetted roads across our region, encourage more walking in beautiful places
23.01.2022 We can do this feed the soil/feed the earth, to feed the planet!
22.01.2022 The poem that's gone viral after NSW farmer Joanna Collett posted it on the Prime Minister's facebook page: G’day Mr Morrison, I trust that you are fine, Sorry to be bothering you, but there’s something on my mind I listened to a bloke last week; he had a bit to say... You lot may have heard of him? He delivers all that hay? He spoke of countless hours and the distances they drive Feeding starving stock, to keep bush hopes alive They do not get assistance from your tax funded hat They do it on their own, all off their own bat I’m not politically minded and I don’t have any clout And I know you’ve done a tour, to learn about the drought But there’s just some burning questions, that have left us feeling beat Why did we fund a foreign land, to learn to cut up meat? And what about those soccer boys, who went and got all lost You pulled out all the bloody stops, plain just showing off You’ve bigger problems here at home, there’s drought up to our necks So what does your mob go and do ? Give them big fat cheques! Don’t they have a government to deal with all this stuff? Why should it be up to us, what’s with all your fuss? Should we not be reigning in and look after our own Have you never heard the phrase charity starts at home? I realise there’s many things, that need an allocation And I also can appreciate, complex trade relations I’m not sure if you realise, but if our stock all die, There won’t be any trade you see, your deals will all run dry As a rule we’re not a whinging lot, our requests are but a few Most of us who work the land, are tested, tried and true We respect that we are guardians, and sustain it for the kids But I often have to wonder, what future will it bring? I guess all that I’m wondering, is where’s the Aussie aid? Wrapped up in a swag of tape, only then to be repaid ! There’s Aussie blokes and chicks out there, putting you to shame Helping fellow Australians, in their time of pain I’m just a simple farmer, grazier, wife and mum And even though we’re feeding stock, we’re better off than some I’ve never had to shoot a cow, who could no longer stand But many have before me, and I pray, I’m not dealt that hand So will you take another look; admit that we’re in strife ? And do more than bloody empathise, before another farmer takes their life ? I’d like to think you’ll do what’s right and put Australia first And help your own damn country, before this drought gets any worse Joanna Collett Wee Waa NSW If you nearly had tears in your eyes reading this, consider copying and sharing it. The regions voted for the coalition, charity begins at home! ScoMo Australia relies on farmers for export income, they need a hand?

21.01.2022 Sustainable in my view means high quality beef raised using the least amount of resources. Lot feeding cattle is unsustainable on many levels. Quality biodynamic pastures sequent as much carbon as trees hence they are sustainable. Beef produced locally should be consumed locally, reduce food miles, improve quality to the consumer and provide a better return to the producer
21.01.2022 Why not visit the Mary Valley Festival this coming Saturday, 9 November.

17.01.2022 The culprit behind our big dry.
17.01.2022 Noosa’s proposed short stay rental bylaws are a free kick for division 9 of the Sunshine Coast Regional Council. Visitors will naturally gravitate towards that area where B&B accommodation is still allowed and encouraged by SCRC.

16.01.2022 Tiny homes are the answer to Noosa’s affordable housing shortage.
16.01.2022 Perhaps Queensland should consider following Victoria’s lead, and forge closer economic links with China? Jane Golley from the ANU's Australian Centre on China in the World said the Victoria’s Premier was making a pragmatic decision based mainly on the economic benefits for Victoria. She warned simple rhetoric against the deal from Canberra politicians was a bigger concern because it sent a signal to Beijing that Australia was closed for business.... 04.01.2022 This fire season has started early it has now torched the Noosa Shire 4 times. Vast areas on the Noosa North Shore and south towards Tewantin are engulfed in flame. Hopefully out of the carnage and devastation we get a rethink History on Oz bushfires together commonsense remedies that will work. The reality is these fires have been decades in the making. Last year’s devastation of 1,400,000 hectares was not taken seriously. ...Continue reading
