28.12.2021 Our healthcare workers care for us at our most vulnerable and they deserve to be safe and respected in the workplace. Violence or aggression of any kind is not ...part of the job. Even acts you may consider 'insignificant' like eye-rolling, sneering, talking down to or raising your voice at workers can have a major impact on their mental wellbeing. To you, it might be a one-off incident, but they might be treated like this every day. To visit a hospital, you will need to be fully vaccinated and show proof . All patients, including unvaccinated people, will still receive the care they need. There are also exceptions for parents, guardians and carers, end-of-life visits, childbirth, or emergency situations. Be kind to our staff. We are here to help.

25.12.2021 World Radiography Day is celebrated on 8 November each year. The date marks the anniversary of the discovery of x-radiation by Wilhelm Roentgen in 1895. Celebrating medical radiation sciences and the people who make it happen; National Radiographer and Radiation Therapists’ Week (NRRTW) this year runs from Monday 8 November to Sunday 14 November and encompasses World Radiography Day 8 November. NRRTW is a time for medical radiation science professionals to come together and acknowledge the vital work they do on behalf of the health of all Australians.
