17.01.2022 Our newest members to Noosa Rural Retreat

17.01.2022 Carambola aka star fruit are going strong. This is one of only 3 established fruit trees that we're here when we bought. The other tree fruited over a month ago and now this one is blooming. Since then we have planted over 50 different fruit and nut trees plus berries and shrubs.

14.01.2022 Bring It!!! For all our guests that have loved using the oils whilst staying here, this is a great way to get them in your own home. BOGO is boss not only is it an epic way for all our existing customers to stock up on oily goodness it's also an amazing time for those that are ready to start their oil journey to grab a bargain.... 12.01.2022 Did you know me and Amy are going to be on an international TV show? They filmed our journey of what we wanted and why we picked our property in the end. The show will be out within the next 6 months stay posted.... Here's a scene of us at our local distillery Pomona Distilling Co. I may have been a bit tipsy after a few gins trays ;)

11.01.2022 I bloody love Homestead Living. Did you know that each rooster needs atleast 6 chickens. They love the ladies.... Did you also know that we bought 7 baby chickens and 3 turned out to be roosters. We were faced with a difficult situation. Do we get rid of some of the roosters or purchase more chickens and get a bigger coop. $1500 later we have 15 more female chickens and a bigger coop to keep them safe at night. We got Australorp females as 2 of our roosters are Australorps. They are a heritage breed supposedly quite docile ours are not though. They are inquisitive and seem to break into the house at least a few times a day. Here's me and Dusty hanging out with Oreo in the background trying to break in whilst we aren't watching. Good times

08.01.2022 Enchanted misty morning Captured this big man right outside cabin blossom, early this morning checking me out throwing grass seeds down! Not at all flustered but simply intrigued. ... Early mornings really do delight our guests Get booking for the school holidays quick as we always get fully booked! Or if you want a cozy night away this place really does have it all!

06.01.2022 Stage 2 of Spillway is sorted. Adding filtering rocks from Grow Landcapes and native grasses from Noosa and District Landcare And created catching holes to build little ponds.... Next step is to revegetate around spillway add native grasses along banks and native water plants to filter the water. Then a pump so the water is constantly moving. Now we just need the rand to come to test and assess what we've done so we can adjust before the next stages.
