25.01.2022 Noosa Springs 04/09/2020 (Post 1 of 5) My son & I headed up to Noosa Springs for an early Father’s Day golf escapade. It has been quite a while between visits f...or me and my son had never played the course so it was going to be an adventure for both of us. The course seemed busy with quite a few out and about which is always good to see. Now the first thing I noticed was the amount of razz I was getting on the greens and have to say it was pretty cool. There is nothing cooler than watching a ball zip back to the pin and give you a tap in putt. It was an absolute cracking day for it and the course did not disappoint. Plenty of sand in the bunkers to play great shots out of, the tee boxes and fairways were beautiful and the greens were mint to putt on. If you got in the wrong spots on the greens you were in for a quick ride to the hole and past it if you gave it a little too much speed. Plenty of water and trees to grab any stray shots and make you pay with a big number. Just a beautiful course and 18 holes in just over 3 hours is always enjoyable. My golf game was hanging on by the skin of its teeth but did enough to snag 3 birdies on the day at the Par 4 2nd (great fairway bunker shot to 5ft), Par 5 3rd and Par 4 10th so can never be sad about that. My favourite holes would have to be the Par 3 4th, Par 4 5th, Par 4 12th, Par 5 15th & the Par 4 17th. There are a lot of great choices for golf on the Sunshine Coast and Noosa Springs is one of those courses. Noosa Springs GC is roughly 137km N of the Brisbane CBD.
