24.01.2022 You're never too old to dance

24.01.2022 Jason King was raised locally on the Sunshine Coast and at the age of 13, he attended the Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School in Melbourne. After graduating, he was accepted into The Australian Ballet School to continue his tertiary studies. At 19, Jason entered the professional dance world in which he began his career with The Victorian State Opera alongside Rhonda Burchmore. He backed up international artists such as Kylie Minogue, Danni Minogue, Vanessa Amoro...ssi, Caroline O’Connor, Diana Ross, and Cyndi Lauper. Jason held the Choreographic Advisory position in Toho Gaino, Japan’s largest film, stage and entertainment company. He traveled and worked throughout Europe as a freelance dancer and choreographer, whilst also performing extensively with Princess Cruise Lines throughout the United States of America. Back home Jason performed in the 2000 Sydney Olympics as well as numerous TV productions, music videos and commercials and accepted the role of featured dancer in Baz Luhrmans box office smash hit film Moulin Rouge. Jason studied comprehensively for two years with The Royal Academy of Dance London, and now holds Registered Teacher Status as well as a Diploma of Dance Teaching and Management. He is also the President of The Sunshine Coast Dance Eisteddfod, the largest of its kind in Queensland. Jason has been the managing director of Fierce Studios since 2004 and has thoroughly enjoyed nurturing the growth of students past and present.

03.01.2022 The Royal Academy of Dance (RAD) has carefully designed a delightful ballet class programme aimed towards people of a mature age. Fierce Studios director - Jason King, registered teacher with the RAD is proud to present this opportunity to Noosa's mature community. There's no need to be shy. Join this wonderful movement and experience the body and mind health benefits along with the joy of dance. Ballet will help refine your balance, flexibility, core-strength, co-ordination..., self-confidence and memory. Socially - this is fantastic chance to spend time with friends whilst making new ones with a shared interest of Classical Ballet. Participants will be learning and working towards original repertoire/choreography from traditional Ballets such as Giselle, Coppelia, Les Sylphides, Swan Lake and The Nutcracker. Without question, sitting down and viewing a professional company perform these repertoire pieces, of which you have studied and worked towards would be thrilling and satisfying to say the least.
