25.01.2022 A massive weekend for some of our teams playing in extra competitions around the grounds. In the Girls Kano Cup on Saturday, we saw our Normo teams compete against the Belrose, Lindfield, Hornsby Heights, Kano Teams and others. Our U11 Dev Squad team finished in second spot and winning themselves a spot at the Kano Cup in Melbourne and the U10s took out the Challenger Cup! Way to go girls! Congratulations also to Isabelle Day and Mia Alexander who were selected in the All S...tars team. 20.01.2022 Update on the relaxation of spectator numbers at community sport. As of today the limit of one parent no longer applies and spectators are able to attend matches again! Please ensure though that physical distancing is maintained around the pitches.

20.01.2022 To wrap up #femalefootballweek 2021, we'd like to make special mention of Normo's own Natalie Mikhael, who over the past ten (plus some) years has been instrumental helping to build such a strong women's football culture at Normanhurst. Nat has been a member of the Normanhurst Eagles since 2005 and currently plays number 10 in the Womens All Age 3’s. She is an integral member of the club having contributed on the committee for a number of years and has made a huge contributi...on to the development of women’s soccer at Normo. Through Nat's work both at Normo, but also as President of the NWSWF (prior to the merger with the GHFA) Normo has become a women's football powerhouse in the area with exponential growth in female registrations. Nat's natural environment is player coaching the Women’s All Age teams and has presided over the establishment and growth of the WO30 age group to two teams this year through coaching and mentoring. Nat is a hugely respected player in Normo’s female squads, and an inspiring leader for girls coming up through the age groups. To recognise Nat's efforts, each year the club now awards the Natalie Mikhael Junior Women's Player of the Year Award to the best up and coming player. Thanks Nat! #gonormo

10.01.2022 After a big year for girls football in 2020, we are very keen to continue to grow the number of girls playing football for Normo and now is the key time to do this as people start to look ahead to 2021. Starting Friday 27th November, we are holding a Miniroos Kick-off program for girls aimed at NEW players to help build skills and confidence so they can hold their own and get the most out of playing come the main season. This program will cater to girls aged 4 up, so please ...tell all your friends/neighbours/schoolmates and encourage them to come down and learn why we all love football so much. For details please get in contact with Nick Deverell ([email protected]). Because we are so limited for space, we can't take girls who already play in the regular competition into this program, but we will be starting the Sunday arvo kickabouts soon for those who are keen. Keep your eye on the FB page for more details.

09.01.2022 Next up for our #FemaleFootballWeek team profiles are our U11W teams! This year we have two really strong girls U11 teams - U11W Carpenter and U11W Williams - with both teams training together a squad this year. Both teams were down at West Epping on Sunday where the U11W Carpenters had a great 4-1 win against Roselea, while our U11W Williams toughed it out against All Saints Hunters Hill for a 0-0 draw. If you've got any more photos of our girls teams, don't forget to send them through for us to post! #gonormo

02.01.2022 It was fantastic to see our Normo Girls running out onto the field with the Prems in their Match against Macquarie Dragons this afternoon. Normo scored about 30 seconds after kick off so they must have had some pretty good advice for them! #femalefootballweek #gonormo

02.01.2022 UPDATE: 4:45pm - Most games are on however there are a number of grounds that have been closed for the weekend by Councils and Schhols. Some matches have been relocated and some have been postponed to be played at a later date. Please check the NWSF Fixtures list tonight. For Sunday Game - grounds will be inspected Saturday and a decision on whether games proceed on Sunday will be advised. UPDATE 3:45pm - Most of the grounds across the association now appear to be open but ...we are yet to have final confirmation from the association. Assume games are on until you hear otherwise. Good luck everyone!!! Wet Weather Update regarding games this weekend... At this stage we are waiting on the call from councils across the association as to what groups will be open and whether some games can progress or whether the round will be cancelled. Across the entire NWSF only 9 grounds are open at the moment. The call on whether the round will proceed this weekend will be made at around 3:30pm and we will keep everyone advised as soon as we know. We've got our fingers crossed that we get some football in!

01.01.2022 Congrats to the O35/2s. 2020 Premiers and Champions with a 1-0 win over North Epping Rangers #gonormo
