19.01.2022 C16 (7CZ) engine and brake tune. The prime mover is a Kenworth T650 and has had engine power issues for a while since another repairer rebuilt it number of hours ago. Valve Set. ... Pre-tune: Exhaust valves were very loose, spec is approx .030+or-. The actuals were recorded at approximately.060+, mainly due to the previous adjustment. Note: Engine brakes must be adjusted off before any valve adjustments are performed. Fuel injector set. Pre-tune: Most of the fuel injector heights were average but adjusted back to spec, except number 6 Injector which was that far out of spec we have never seen one quite as bad! Cam inspection and oil pressure checks (for engine brake slave solenoids) were also performed for engine brake. A 4 cylinder cut out test was performed to check all fuel injectors are performing electrically (Via our diagnostic tooling). Company/Customer feed back once fully loaded is that a noticeable horse power difference was achieved and a very positive performance enhancement from the Jake brake. 13.01.2022 Castrol Fuel Doctor Additive. 1lt bottle treats to 4000lts of fuel. Suitable for all types of fuel, Not just Diesel or Unleaded. Cleans and Conditions fuels and its fuel components. This is a product that fuel technicians use to shock treat a suspected bacteria/algae in bulk fuel tanks. A great product backed by a reputable Company, "Castrol". 13.01.2022 This customers Kenworth T650 powered by a C16 has had a problem with the Horton clutch fan for a very long time. Numerous repairers have had a go finding the problems but with no luck. It has also had a problem with ET ( CAT diagnostic tooling) not being able to connect with the C16 engine ECM. We found a number of wires broken, faulty air pressure switches/solenoids and bad ECM connections. All repaired, cleaned and tested. ... The truck now cylces the fan via coolant temp, A/C pressure and via the automatic/manual switch on the dash. Our latest diagnostic tooling was also a great help to troubleshoot the faults. 05.01.2022 Thank you Tom and Jesse Terry for choosing NorStar Enterprises for your suspension upgrade. Suspension supplied and fitted was Dobinsonss latest technology 2 lifted coils and Monotube Remote Reservoir Adjustable Spring Seat Heavy Duty shocks. After fitment, the vehicle gained an average (wheel arch measurement) of 100mm (4) from the worn factory suspension! Wow! A massive improvement!... Give us a call for a free quote!
