24.01.2022 It's harvest time. Our school garden is absolutely bursting with gorgeous leafy greens! And as it is the last week of term we have some excess vegetables available for purchase after parade today. So if you are attending parade please bring some spare change and support our Kitchen Garden Ambassador students who will be setting up the stall. They will have sugar loaf cabbage, ... iceberg lettuce, leek, Kohlrabi, radish and salad bouquets Everything $2-$3 We also have mulberry tree cuttings for $1 each. Grow your own mulberry tree at home! All proceeds help the students purchase seedlings for our summer garden See more

17.01.2022 This week students were harvesting their very own carrots, celery and parsley for a delicious salad in kitchen with Lis. They roasted the carrot, added celery, parsley, toasted sunflower seed and parmesan served with Zoodles and a green herb sauce. Herbs from the garden of course! Thank you to our parent helpers Aveen and Shane who enjoyed the last kitchen lesson of primary school with 6GW!

12.01.2022 So proud to have 3 of our NASS School Captains representing NASS at the Yandina community 150th Anniversary Ceremony yesterday. All of our NASS students submitted writing for inclusion in the time capsule and our 3 captains shared their work with the community during the ceremony. So happy to be included in such an important milestone for our community and so very proud of our 3 student leaders who gave up time on their holidays, to represent our school! Thanks to their Mums/Dads for making this happen too!

11.01.2022 Yes this delicious and colourful banana leaf plate of fruit, veg and herbs is all from our amazing North Arm garden! And our 2021 prepies got to sample it all! It was such a hot day today but our garden teams worked tirelessly to weed and mulch and care for our garden and the kitchen harvested lots of carrots, celery and herbs for their salads. We finished the day just as the storm rolled in with our transition to prep afternoon- a treasure hunt and afternoon tea. Thanks to the 5CH ambassadors (Taylah, Olivia Chelsea and Joseph) who helped with our visitors in the garden.

11.01.2022 We celebrate Sonya, Deb, Deb and Martin! Happy school support staff week! Each one of these people does an AMAZING job and we are completely grateful for the hard work you do - our school would definitely not run so beautifully without you! You are all SO VERY appreciated!

10.01.2022 Tomorrow (Wednesday 16 September), NASS is taking the opportunity to thank our dedicated Support Staff for everything they do for our students, staff and school each and every day. They really are our school’s unsung heroes and are often taken for granted and don’t receive the acknowledgement they deserve, so this is a great opportunity to make up for that. Thank you to Deb W (Front Office Mon-Wed & Fri), Deb M (Business Manager), Sonya (Front Office on Thursdays) and Martin (Technical Officer). What an awesome team! Please ensure you/your children take some time to say 'thank you' today!
