24.01.2022 Weather update Saturday 1st of February All NETA juniors for Saturday morning are cancelled including orange ball matches That is on top of Friday night matches being cancelled. So all junior NETA matches this weekend are cancelled due to the forecast rain. Seniors are managed by tennis SA so if curious about seniors tomorrow you will need to wait until 11am and ring the tennis SA weather line 8411 1512

22.01.2022 ATTENTION all NETA players! As you all know.....life is a circus at the moment Based on updated government recommendations (which is against inter club travel for sport) and Tennis Australias position, we feel we have no choice but to cancel the remainder of the 2019/20 season. This includes all senior tennis with the combined edta/NETA comp, all Friday night and Saturday morning juniors and includes orange ball. We have not yet conferred with midweek ladies re their Wedne...sday morning comp.....will update soon. A decision regarding premierships will be made soon. Please note......tennis is a fantastic sport and is better positioned than most for the current environment. Tennis managed well will continue to exist but for a period will need to be run in-house. There will most likely be no inter club tennis for a period of time. We will nominate as per normal for winter season tennis and hope that things turn around quickly.....but at the same time we encourage clubs to prepare to run in-house programs and competitions to fill the gap if necessary. All of the decisions made are for the general health and well being of all Thanks for your patience and understanding....we nearly got through the season!!! And what a fantastic tournament we had last Sunday for some of the kids to finish the season!! See more

However it would be expected that any reasonable effort should be made to dry the courts for 1st v 2nd matches that are effectively grand finals

19.01.2022 Saturday 5th of December update All senior matches this afternoon are you go ahead as scheduled

19.01.2022 We hope all of you are safe and well An update regarding the 2019/20 summer season Committees have discussed and made decisions re the season now unfortunately cancelled. It has been decided that across both juniors and seniors(NETA/EDTA combined) that the team who won the 1v2 semi final will be awarded the premiership. The team that lost that match is therefore the runner up. It is unfortunate that we didnt get to finish the season and also perhaps more unfortunate for the ...teams that finished on top but lost that first final. Its also unfortunate that the team that won the 3v4 semi final wont now get a crack at it either. Congratulations to all teams regardless of results and we really hope we can get out on court again with a new appreciation of being able to do so!!! NOTE: We will not be taking junior nominations for winter at this stage. If it looks possible to do something in term 3, we will look at it then. Good luck everyone and look after each other!! 09.01.2022 Saturday 14th of March...senior tennis (edta/neta)) All matches will go ahead today In reference to COVID 19......... Please exercise common sense in regards to hygiene and the personal distance already provided in tennis. Please wash your hands with soapy water etc or use sanitizer.... If you feel unwell, please go home rather than risk it. Please cover mouth if coughing etc. Rather than shaking hands at the completion of a match, acknowledge each other verbally. And please dont share drink bottles etc. Tennis is played in open space, with a relatively small gathering and plenty of distance between competitors. Please wash hands etc. We are a long way apart on a tennis court and have small gatherings. 06.01.2022 Hi all, sorry its been a while.....crazy times!!!! But we are back on track Competition tennis is on the way much sooner than we originally expected!!! Seniors will start first with Winter Pennant on the 13th of June. Teams have to be in soon so please contact your club rep so you dont miss out!! Juniors will effectively play a half season plus a one week finals series beginning on the 24/25th of July.... Whilst we considered starting earlier, we did not want to interfere with school holidays when people were not allowed to go away in the previous ones. We are also mindful that some clubs have completely shut down during this period and it will take them some time to get all of the kids back and get teams sorted. In the meantime, matchplay internally at your own club is allowed and a great way to get ready for July There is a lot to prepare for and in the week of the volunteer, clubs are going to need more of them!! 04.01.2022 NETA Junior Tournament update The tournament is going ahead at TTG from 9am on Sunday the 15th of March If anyone is uncomfortable about playing a full refund will be issued. As per previous posts, please observe sensible hygiene practices. Please be able to identify your own drinks etc... We will also have hand sanitizer in the club room. We will strongly be encouraging NO physical contact (eg. shaking hands or hi 5s) The gathering will be much smaller than the governments 500 plus guidelines We have significant space between players and spectators. Common sense should see no issues. Pictured is a list of times. There are more times and we are looking for more doubles players to fill some events. 01.01.2022 Friday 16th of October weather update Based on advice from the bureau of Meteorology Tennis SA have decided matches will go ahead as scheduled. If you think there’s a chance, please give it a go. However.....as per normal, if a venue believes they have no chance of playing tonight and need to cancel to save teams travelling for no reason, please do so in the comments here. We also ask that you contact opposition clubs if you need to cancel given the uncertainty if anyone rings the weather line.
