08.01.2022 Dear Parents/Carers, Twelve months ago the school announced an innovative teaching and learning model aimed to challenge the status quo of primary education and seek ‘better ways’ in order to best develop in our students the knowledge and capabilities needed to be successful in an ever-changing world. Nearing the end of the year, we are excited to review our successes and learn from shortcomings. Your input into this process is critical. A survey has been developed which we h...ope all parents/carers who are familiar with our 2020 Model of Educational Excellence will complete. As a refresher, linked here (www.tinyurl.com/nkps2020model) is a broad overview of the model we have used in 2020 and linked here (www.tinyurl.com/nkps2020note) is my initial communication about the approach from December 2019. At the moment, we are collecting information from a range of sources to determine the overall success of our 2020 approach. This includes listening to parents, students and staff, and collecting information about student learning through assessments. A full report will be made available when the review is completed. Please take some time to complete the parent/carer survey, which is linked here (www.tinyurl.com/nkps2020survey) . The survey will remain open for two weeks, and close on 27 November 2020. Sincerely, Tom Moth Principal

07.01.2022 We are giving consideration to setting up an EFTPOS terminal in the office so that parents can make school payments via card at the counter. However; the merchant fees might not make this a sound economical decision. Your response will help us make a determination. Please complete this survey. https://forms.gle/d3MVVspP9yGR5GQ47
06.01.2022 The canteen would prefer parents to place orders using the Flexischools App. Safe and contactless, this is the preferred option during Covid-times and forms part of their Covid-safe plan. Flexischools can be downloaded from the Google Play or App Store.
06.01.2022 New Covid-safe guidelines are in place for the remainder of the term. All parents/carers are asked to read the communication linked below. https://northkellyville-p.schools.nsw.gov.au//20200817_COV

05.01.2022 HEALTHY CANTEENS AUSTRALIA run the NKPS canteen. The following message is from the General Manager. Many parents are phoning the school and asking to be put through to the canteen as they are not able to come into the school grounds. Whilst we understand that reduced interaction due to Covid is difficult, may I please ask that any calls be redirected instead to our Head Office on 9678 9242. Head Office can process late and changed orders or follow up any instances of items no...t received. The canteen system itself does not have this capability. This also gives us insight into any pattern or recurring issues so we can modify procedures as needed. We will contact the canteen outside of their busiest periods and still ensure all necessary changes are made.

At the end of the term un-named items are washed and added to the P&C's emerging second hand clothing pool. This message is to remind families that all un-named items will be re-purposed to the clothing pool next week. Please check lost property prior to this if you believe some of your child's items may be there.
