16.01.2022 Trials!! 2021, let's do this #hawksfam! North Lakes Hawks 2021 trials will be commencing on January 31st and concluding on 7th February. Players are required to attend both trial dates. All players will need to be registered to attend trials. If a player is unable to attend trials, contact must be made to [email protected] to discuss. Trials will be held at Northside Indoor Sports Centre, Zillmere at the below times: U11 - DOB - 2011 to 2012 - 8 - 9am... U13 - DOB - 2009 to 2010 - 9:15 - 10:15am U15 - DOB - 2007 to 2008 - 10:30 - 11:30am U17 - DOB - 2005 to 2006 - 11:45 - 12:45pm U19 - DOB - 2003 to 2004 - 8am - 9am Registrations are now open. 12.01.2022 Under 12 Identification and Development Program - strictly for boys and girls born in 2010, 2011 or 2012 who are currently enrolled within a Northside Wizards B...asketball (NWB) program or competition. NWB has identified the need to invest some time in to this age bracket to improve the overall quality of our Under 12 competitions and expand the pool of potential future representative players for 2021. Our first step to achieving this involves this upcoming 6-week talent identification and development program for both boys and girls. This program will be facilitated by our most experienced and professional coaches with the specific task of upskilling the entire age bracket by exposing players to challenging drills, basketball specific concepts and higher order thinking activities. We are looking to get as many of these players as possible in this age bracket to attend, no matter their current skill level or number of terms experience. If your child is enjoying their basketball and wants to improve, they want to have bigger impact in their games, is planning on continuing next year or has aspirations of playing representative basketball, then I encourage you to enroll in this program and to attend as many of the sessions as possible. This program will be commencing NEXT WEEK so we have a very quick turnaround before we hit the court. There will be limited spots available with registrations closing on Monday 31st August. Parents will be asked to wait outside until the conclusion of each session. We apologise for this. Coach Development if you have an interest in coaching or are actively coaching a team within this age group then you are invited to attend the sessions as an assistant coach. This is to provide coaches with new skills, drills and terminology to take back to trainings to continue player development when the program is complete. To ensure all games start on time we need the assistance from all the coaches/team managers/parents and players.... - Arrive at the game and be ready to enter the building 15 minutes before your scheduled start time - When your team is asked to enter or leave the building do it swiftly - Spectators, when the game you are watching is finished please exit the building swiftly Let’s go Hawkies!!!
