We will be serving Dosa...the Indian crepe stuffed with potatoes and peas, Vada, the spicy Indian doughnut both served with sambar (Lentil & Vegetable Curry) and savory chutney, along with Indian Masala tea , so do not miss the treat. In abiding with the advice from the Government authorities, NQHC Committee has decided to put on hold all celebrations and events until further notice from the officials. We know that the current level of uncertainty and the shift in priorities that this change has demanded is cau...sing enormous stress and distress to many in our community. 16.01.2022 Lord Ayyappa (Dharma Shastha) is the union of the spiritual powers of Lord Vishnu and Lord Shiva. So with his great power, Lord Ayyappa is revered for being the one who is worshipped by all other Devas in the Hindu traditions. NQHC will be beginning the new year's events with Ayyappa Padi Pooja on Saturday, January 16th, at 6.00 pm. The pooja will be conducted by a priest from the Brisbane temple. 09.01.2022 With 2020 coming to a close, North Queensland Hindu Community Inc would like to thank all its members and patrons who have supported the organisation through good and bad times. To conclude a pretty rough year on a positive note, NQHC invites you all to a fundraising Dosa night, on Saturday 12th December starting 6.30pm. 08.01.2022 Diversicare, Townsville in association with NQHC organized a seniors meet and greet session on Thursday, 31st October. In the event NQHC and Chinese clubs seniors participated in a range of activities including fitness for 50 plus and Chinese line dancing. The program was followed by lunch organized by NQHC. We, NQHC extend our warmest of wishes and thanks to the Diversicare, Townsville and the Chinese club for their patronage and support.
