15.01.2022 We like to keep things light and funny over here at Coastal Lawyers (the law can be serious and dry, memes and dad jokes are a survival strategy). However, we a...re very aware that this is a really difficult and scary time. There is so much angst and uncertainty that surrounds us all. We need to pull together and look after one another. Let’s keep our social distance, let’s flatten the curve, wash our hands, and let’s collectively save the lives of some vulnerable people we may never meet. Let’s come out the other side and be proud of the way we acted during the Corona Crisis of 2020 (and why not share a funny meme along the way). 13.01.2022 The Australian Government has announced an increase of 10 additional Medicare subsidised psychological therapy sessions for people with a mental health care pla...n, so that they can continue to access the services they need. Currently a mental health care plan from your GP is capped at 10 Medicare-funded sessions per calendar year, which will now be doubled to 20 sessions from Friday. This is fantastic news for our mental health system in providing more access and support for people in need. The social platforms have indicated they are working to have this video removed and moderated however it is spreading and appearing across all platforms and under many seemingly unrelated hashtags. I’ve also read that it has been hidden in other, totally unrelated videos. Should the below image appear in your scrolling/social media use today I strongly encourage you to scroll past, do not watch, and to advise your children do the same.
