10.01.2022 Hi all - here’s the latest advice from parkrun HQ on novel corona virus and the impact on parkrun. While a number of countries have cancelled parkrun events across the board, a decision to do so in Australia is yet to be made. Further advice is likely to be issued by parkrun HQ in the UK on Wednesday or Thursday. ... On the basis of this current advice, we will be running parkrun as normal tomorrow. We encourage everyone to come along as they normally would in the spirit of keeping calm and carrying on! ... 08.01.2022 Given that there is no Saturday parkrun happening at the moment, we’d encourage everyone to keep active and keep their fitness routine going. One way to do this might be to do a weekly virtual parkrun. If people are able to run the North Sydney course in their own time, throughout the week or over the weekend, they can then post their times on Strava and on our Facebook page. ... This might be a way of encouraging and motivating each other to keep running and to keep our local parkrun community connected.
