25.01.2022 Amid the corona virus outbreak, I will still be operational Smithton to Launcestion, with current and new clients. There will be a couple of changes along the way if need be. I am currently setting up a contactless payment system in conjunction with bank transfers, which will be preferable over cash payments. If you’re affected financially, please speak to me in regards to arranging something so your animals do not miss out. ... If you’re in quarantine, please let me know prior to arrival, so we can organise something around this, or for you to tie up the horses for me to work on. If there is any questions or issues, feel free to contact me privately to discuss.

23.01.2022 Well, it’s been an interesting 7 months with these 2 ponies. Radiographs taken when new owner took the 2 ponies on. This was due to being laminitic, also over grown hooves, pleased to say Dougie is going ok from where he was at day 0. However little miss scarlet, despite the change in hoof capsule, is not in the best shape, she has suffered some pedal bone damage which is irreversible, making her consistently lame. The second bout of radiographs confirmed on scarlet our fear...s of the pedal bone damage. Whilst discussing with vets, and the owners, we have sadly decided that she is best to be let go, and be pain free. This is one little pony that has fought hard, made a huge impression on not just her owners, but myself also. It is so pleasing to work along side owners, which listen to their farrier, also vet. Here is a couple of before shots, and where we managed to get back to today. R.I.P SCARLET.

16.01.2022 6 months on almost. At the start, not being able to walk in the paddock or gravel, let alone trot. Clear signs of lameness upon initial visit, caused from laminitis. With the guidance of radiographs, correct diet, correct hoof care, and correct mentality of this guys owner. He is able to begin walking out in the bush, This guy and his paddock companion have come leaps and bounds. With another set of radiographs to come to confirm any questions regarding pedal rotation. Dougie is clearly feeling amazing.
