We began our day at the beautiful Yolla District High School, whe...re Gav spoke to Mr Wescombes Grade 9 class about World War One and his own personal family connection to the war. We then set off to Burnie, where we visited the wonderful people at Know Pathology Know Healthcare and North West Pathology. The pathology lab was a hub of activity and we were very grateful Michelle and the rest of the team could spare some time to show us around. 03.01.2022 Tasmanian Minister for Health, Sarah Courtney, thanks our amazing staff at Launceston Pathology for the help they gave to collect almost 500 samples across 3 North West Residential Aged Care Facilities in a single day. Also thanking the laboratory staff of the Royal Hobart Hospital for their ongoing work. In addition, Minister Courtney announced the partnership between the Federal and Tasmanian Governments and Sonic Healthcare, incorporating Hobart, Launceston and North West Pathology, to substantially expand testing capacity for COVID-19.
