23.01.2022 MX TRACK UPGRADE - THANK YOU There has been a power of work put into the MX track during the last few months while things have been on hold. The MX reps and their crew have completely reversed the direction of the track. Jumps have been reversed, berms have been flattened out and the whole track worked over ready for a fresh start.... Of course we couldn't have done this without the generous help from the following businesses. FORBES WILSON GROUP JOHNS CRANES JM PLUMBING MILDURA SOLAR INTERLINK SUNNYLAND PRESS MALLEE MEATS TREVOR SOUTHGATE MECHANICAL TONY & JOHN CAVALLARO KYLIE & ROB FOTHERINGHAM We thank these businesses for their contributions to the club, particularly in these trying times. It is very much appreciated. Whitie, Mark, Trevor, Jake and the crew have worked tirelessly over a lot of weekends to get the track changes made in time for our road back. Make sure you get down there on Sunday for our first MX Ride Day and test out the new layout. Open to all riders of all abilities. We'll see you Sunday.
23.01.2022 GENERAL MEETING A reminder that there is a general meeting tonight at the club rooms starting at 5.30pm to discuss upcoming events and the next steps towards a new normal. We look forward to seeing you there.
23.01.2022 TOMORROWS RPA RIDE DAY The ride day tomorrow is DIRT TRACK only. We will look to hold MX & Enduro at a later date.
23.01.2022 COMMITTEE NOMINATIONS CLOSE TONIGHT Please be advised that Committee Position nominations need to be emailed to [email protected] tonight. The position descriptions and nomination forms can be found on the website here.... https://northwestvicmcc.com.au/position-descriptions-nomin/ The AGM is fast approaching and will be held in 2 weeks on Wednesday the 27th of January. Start time will be 7pm at the clubrooms. In order for the club to move forward we need people to get on board and support the future of the club. Put simply, if we don't have people committed to helping move forward, then there won't be a club for everyone to enjoy. It is not a huge commitment and the reward you will receive is very satisfying. If you would like to know exactly what is involved just talk to one of the current committee members. They will be more than happy to give you a run down of what is required. We look forward to seeing you soon. Thank you Committee
23.01.2022 Please respect the landowners!
23.01.2022 THE ROAD BACK The committee held a meeting to discuss our way back to riding. At this stage there is no known date for a return to racing but we are in constant contact with our governing body and will follow their lead.... In the interim, we are going to resume under the MA Ride Parks Australia initiative. This is where we can open a track and hold an open ride day operating under specific conditions. Our first one will be a dirt track day on Saturday the 27th of June. With further restrictions being eased on the 22nd of June we are hoping this will make it easier to run the day. We are hoping to do a similar day with MX & a sprint style Enduro loop at the complex in the next couple of months. There will be some further info posted in the next few days. But for now, please bear with us and we’ll be back doing what we love to do in no time. Regards The committee

11.01.2022 SEASON POSTPONED The committee has been closely monitoring the situation with respect to COVID-19 and has worked to support the measures implemented by the government and health authorities to keep the community healthy at this time. Our aim has been to keep our events operating for as long as the Victorian Chief Medical Officer and the state and national government considered activities such as motorcycle racing reasonable to continue. ... As cases of COVID-19 in Victoria continue to climb, Premier Daniel Andrews has implemented a shutdown of all non-essential activity across the state to combat the spread of Coronavirus. Added to this has been the closing of state borders. As a result of this we have postponed our season events until further notice effective immediately. This includes general and committee meetings that require face to face contact. PLEASE NOTE: There has not been a decision made regarding the Hattah Desert Race at this stage. We will keep you updated as more information comes to hand. Thank you North West committee Premier, Daniel Andrews statement can be found here: https://www.premier.vic.gov.au/statement-from-the-premier-/

06.01.2022 THANK YOU - UP COMING RPA DAYS A huge thanks to all of those parents and riders who turned up on Sunday morning for our first working bee on the road back. 06.01.2022 MORE RIDE PARK DAYS THIS WEEKEND Firstly we would like to thank everyone who supported our ride park days held at the NWVMCC complex two weeks ago. Both days were very successful with a great mix of familiar and new faces. A huge thank you to the committee and club members that prepared the tracks and ran the days. The amount of work these guys and girls continue to put in is amazing. ... In this new environment we'd like to thank all those who followed the Covid 19 procedures put in place by the club and MV. Your cooperation around these measures will ensure we can continue to have the tracks open. Unfortunately, Motorcycling Victoria did receive three complaints around people not wearing masks and not maintaining social distancing on the Sunday MX day. It is extremely disappointing to all the volunteers who helped make the day possible that a very small minority feel like they need to try and bring the club down. As a result the club can only ask again that anyone attending the days during the pandemic follow the guidelines put in place by the club and MV. The alternative will be to close the gates. THIS WEEKEND - NEW FORMAT - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY Saturday the 31st October FLAT TRACK - Juniors and Seniors MX SENIORS ONLY. Times to be confirmed. Sunday the 1st November MX JUNIORS ONLY. Parents wanting to ride MX with their Juniors will be able to ride Sunday. Sign on from 9, riding 10 till 3 Cost is $30 for Juniors, $35 for Seniors. Helpers will be welcomed both days and we strongly encourage everyone to get involved with more than just riding at the club. Once again, we would to thank everyone for supporting the NWVMCC and we look forward to seeing you all again this weekend.

01.01.2022 The committee of the Hattah Desert Race has made the difficult decision to cancel the 2020 Penrite Hattah Desert Race, scheduled to run from 3-5 July 2020. In l...ight of the global pandemic and the implications it has for large gatherings, and closed borders across the country, the decision, though deeply disappointing, is necessary. At an extraordinary Committee meeting last night, the Committee looked at all possible options, including moving the date to August, however without a crystal ball on what this pandemic will look like, this tough decision was made. Last night the decision was also made that due to the 2020 race cancellation, all top 40 and place-getter pre-entries will be carried forward to the 2021 Hattah Desert Race. We understand the challenges this poses for our many local organisations and service groups and are working on reaching out as quickly as possible to advise of the cancellation. As a non-profit, community and volunteer-driven organisation based in Mildura, we understand the power and importance of community and are turning our focus inward for the short-term to ensure we continue to contribute to our great region. We want to thank those volunteers who had been working hard at working bees to get the track and facilities ready for the 2020 race. We look forward to additional announcements from the Federal and State Governments in the near future, so we can get back out on the dirt and doing what we love. We wish to thank all our competitors for their patience during this time. Keep an eye on our social channels for the 2021 date and continue to send through your favourite #HattahMoment. Kind regards, Hattah Desert Race Committee
01.01.2022 RIPPED OFF How good would this weekends Round 1 enduro have been? Rain, cold weather, fires, wet dirt.... God damn you Corona Virus. You can go to hell.
01.01.2022 CLUB MEMBERSHIPS This is a notice to all current & prospective members. Due to the ongoing hiatus caused by Covid 19, the committee has made the decision to carry all current memberships forward to the end of December 2021.... This will apply to all current memberships and new memberships paid for going forward. We look forward to seeing you on the track soon. Regards, Committee
