24.01.2022 Rob Forster’s County Western Night was a great success. Supporters came from as far as Mandurah, Wickepin, Merredin and Geraldton to the Central Wheatbelt Campaign Launch. Fantastic music, delicious food and great atmosphere. Well done Rob and all involved for a successful fundraiser event!

22.01.2022 Zak Kirkup and the Liberals ambitious New Energy Jobs Plan will create thousands of jobs, bring back manufacturing to WA and diversify our economy. This will b...e the largest renewable energy project in Australia’s history building wind, solar, gas and battery storage projects to power WA jobs into the future. See more

22.01.2022 Thank you Senator Dean Smith and Steve Martin Candidate for the Agricultural Region for attending the Northam Branch AGM. Your support is very much appreciated.

21.01.2022 A $2.5 million contibution from the Federal Liberal Government will see Coates Gully Bridge on Great Eastern Highway replaced - making it safer and faster to us...e. Getting shovels in the ground on local construction projects is important for maintaining jobs and economic growth now and as we navigate out of the pandemic. Works are currently in progress and are expected to be completed by late 2020.

20.01.2022 Great support and atmosphere at the Northam Branch Christmas Sundowner with special guests the Hon Nick Goiran MLC, Zak Kirkup MLA and the Hon Jim Chown MLC.

19.01.2022 LEST WE FORGET

18.01.2022 WA State Election Pre-poll at the Northam Town Hall ... Thanks to our Central Wheatbelt Candidate Rob Forster for being here all day every day this week and a BIG THANK YOU to all our volunteers assisting!

18.01.2022 Northam Branch AGM with special guests Christopher Tan State VP and Rod Henderson President of Pearce Division. Thanks to everyone attending ( and apologies for the late post).

18.01.2022 Great attendance at the WA Liberal Party State Council today. We are ready to rebuild and return strong and united!

18.01.2022 Unbelievably the York industrial Park is off limits to multi combination vehicles. But we are committed to fixing this How ridiculous that local businesses ha...ve been fined by the Transport Department for driving their machinery into an area that is a hub for Farming materials, supplies and maintenance. When this situation was exposed by local businesses, that are hurting financially by these restrictions, the Liberal Candidate for Central Wheatbelt Rob Forster, bought it to the attention of The Shadow Minister of Regional Development, Dr Steve Thomas. Dr Thomas acted decisively, Rob Forster arranged a meeting with many local businesses and Local Government. After inspecting the proposed improvement to infrastructure, Dr Thomas committed 1 million dollars from Royalties for Regions for the upgrade required to the roads, drainage, moving of power lines and turning lanes. This welcome intervention will ensure that local York business's and York Shire Depot will be able to operate at optimum and offer greater prosperity and opportunity for expansion in operations, creating more jobs in York. With a progressive and innovative Liberal Government, that has a PLAN for the next 50 years, our state is poised for a world leading, economic injection, not seen since the days of the North West Shelf projects and the Mining Boom.

12.01.2022 We must support our regional farmers to create local jobs. A plan for economic recovery is essential to support WA jobs. The regions are under pressure and small and family businesses are struggling. Let's strengthen our communities and get WA back to work.

11.01.2022 Fantastic news for the Old Northam Train Station and Northam Town with the announcement of a one million dollar ($1,000,000) commitment from the WA Liberal Part...y to develop the Station into a tourist icon. This historic tourist attraction is badly in need of an upgraded platform, refurbishment of buildings and restoration of rare carriages. The grand old building with it's rich history of early rail will be a destination for visitors from across Western Australia. Shadow Minister for Regional Development Dr Steve Thomas and I visited the Station recently and met with volunteers who run the facility to announce that a future Liberal Government will finance the project from the Royalties for Regions Fund. The Old Northam Train Station will play its role in an exciting future for the Avon Valley and our Regions, telling a fascinating story of our history and the development of Western Australia during the colourful age of the steam train. 08.01.2022 Northam Branch members enjoying the Liberal Women’s Council Christmas Lunch at the Royal Perth Golf Club.

07.01.2022 Liberal Candidate for Moore, Darren Slynes and I had a great day with the Toodyay RSL folks. Sub-Branch President Peter Brennan informed all present of the $10...0,000 for a start to their first RSL Hall, a very exciting time and Darren and I would be delighted to be invited back when the new 'home' is completed... A few great stories were shared with our RSL Sisters and Brothers and until conversation is started, you just don't realise how rich our collective experiences are. Firefighter, Air Force Officer and Police Officer all in one frame :) and over 100 hundred years of combined Service to Australia. The home made Carrot Cake was the best I have ever eaten Darren and I then went into my electorate of Central Wheatbelt in the beautiful town of Northam. We are both determined to support each other, and our Regional Liberal Team in Parliament .... we will have no borders in our fight to represent our electorates .... Our message of the importance of Regions will be heard loud and clear .... We have been left languishing for too long and our political representatives have got far too comfortable ... time for change and new energy...

06.01.2022 Congratulations from the Northam Branch!

06.01.2022 Another fun day at the Northam Show Liberal marquee today. Thanks to the Hon. Jim Chown MLC and the Young Libs for supporting the Northam Branch. We gave away about 400 Christian Porter show bags.

05.01.2022 Wishing you and your family a safe and prosperous 2020!

05.01.2022 Creating jobs and investing in infrastructure in Western Australia as part of our JobMaker plan.

05.01.2022 Thank you for your support folks, we must, for the sake of our own prosperity and our children's futures ensure we win as many regional seats as possible ... fo...r too long we have stagnated. Have a look around at what has changed for us, other than the regions dying, particularly the Central Wheatbelt and have a close look at those that dispute this .... Labor will not invest in us, they have stolen 1.9 Billion Dollars from Royalties for Regions in the last four years and now want us to pay for our children's School Transport to the tune of 132 Million Dollars per year ...seriously ...?? when is this all going to end ??? And who believes all of a sudden, they are going to get a conscience and return any of our money to us ?? .... In Central Wheatbelt, I need your vote for a strong Conservative voice ... otherwise we will get more of what we have been getting ...

04.01.2022 What’s your plan to fix the housing crisis Premier McGowan? Labor sitting on a huge budget surplus while West Australians remain stuck on public housing waiting lists and private rentals increasingly hard to find.

03.01.2022 Well attended Liberal Women’s Council (WA) AGM with guest speakers Opposition Leader the Hon. Liza Harvey and (Northam born) Federal Member for Curtin Celia Hammond.

03.01.2022 In Northam with Rob Forster - Liberal for Central Wheatbelt and Senator Dean Smith

03.01.2022 For too long the Regions have not been represented as they should have been. Evidence of this is the loss of population and businesses in towns across the Regio...ns. Infrastructure, Industry, manufacturing opportunities must be developed to stop the contraction of our Communities and the Liberal Regional Team will ensure that occurs. See more

02.01.2022 If we can dig it up, we can build it here. Zak Kirkup MP and the Liberals ambitious New Energy Jobs Plan will create thousands of jobs, bring back manufacturin...g to WA and diversify our economy. It's all about bringing manufacturing back to WA, so we can build more with our WA resources and create jobs for now and the future. It will open up new markets, exporting clean, safe hydrogen to trading partners like Japan and Korea, and power a new green steel industry. It's a vision that is in our Liberal DNA, a nation-building project that will create jobs and prosperity for Western Australia, just like Sir Charles' vision for the North West Shelf. This is a game changer project that is all about creating thousands of new jobs and is part of the Liberals plan for 200,000 new jobs in WA. The Liberals New Energy Jobs Plan will take WA forward, together. Learn more https://www.waliberal.org.au//liberals-visionary-plan-to-/

01.01.2022 Zak Kirkup MP and your regional Liberal team are focused on the issues that matter to you.

01.01.2022 Special Liberal State Conference 2020 at the Rendezvous Hotel in Scarborough. Unfortunately observers are not allowed this year due to COVID restrictions but the conference is well supported by delegates.

01.01.2022 We need a jobs plan to take WA forward. The Liberals ambitious New Energy Jobs Plan is the biggest jobs plan for WA in generations and will lead us forward int...o a post-COVID recovery. This project will enable the State Government to achieve zero emissions. To be perfectly clear this will not impact the private sector. This is only about the State Government’s emissions and leading by example. Our plan will support business transition to green exports and clean energy operations if they choose and it makes sense to their own business. The Liberals New Energy Jobs Plan will take WA forward, together.
