22.01.2022 November run!! Due to the loss of the April run this year to the COVID lockdown, it was voted at the October Run meeting to host an additional run between the October and November runs. This run will take place on the 31 October and 1st November and will be a state wide Go Where You Please.... There will be a weigh in at Plugs camp in Port Gregory should anyone be close enough to attend, otherwise members can weigh their fish using club verified scales and provide photographic proof, or measure their fish and it will be converted to a weight, also with photographic proof. These measurements need to be submitted to David Suckling by 11am on Sunday 1st November. The usual November run will take place on 28 - 29 November at Horrocks.

18.01.2022 May fishing run 2nd/3rd May 2020. With the leveling of the pandemic in WA and the likelyhood of restrictions easing in the future, we've decided to run a 'Go Where You Please' in May. Some restrictions will still apply :... 1. No more than 2 people fishing together. Social distancing rules still apply 2. Normal Go Where You Please rules apply to recording catches, which are : a. All fish need to be witnessed by another club member, or photographed. 3. There will be no official weigh in. All fish lengths need to be recorded and supplied between 11am and 12 noon on the Sunday to Gary on 0418643885. We require individual fish lengths and types. This will be converted to weight using an approved formula. ANY MEMBER PROVIDING FISH RECORDS AS WEIGHTS AND NOT LENGTHS WILL BE DISQUALIFIED. Members to provide their own measuring tape. 4. Due to the nature of the run, we'll also require a photograph of all fish being recorded by a member, in the one photo with exceptions made for Sharks. 5. Travel restrictions still apply, therefore David James will be allowed to fish in his local area, and members will be given the opportunity to vote on whether his catch will be officially recorded at the next official weigh in. Since it is too difficult to get a consensus on which weekend to hold the run, the first weekend in May has been chosen. Going forward, each run will fall on the first weekend of the month until such a time when we can have an official vote. The June run will be decided by the middle of May, taking into consideration the current government restrictions. We hope this allows everyone to get a much needed escape from their home life, and enjoy a bit of sun and sea. So to recap, a Go Where You Please is being held on 2/3 May. Record all fish lengths and a photograph of all fish in a single photo to Gary between 11am and 12 noon on Sunday. Have fun. .

18.01.2022 Coronavirus update In light of the current situation, the club would like to address any concerns that might impact on our regular club fishing runs. Due to the nature of our runs, the likelihood of transmission of the virus is low. The biggest risk will be at the weigh in, so we ask members to follow the below guidelines :... - maintain a distance of no less than 1.5m between members as much as possible. - use hand sanitizer and regularly wash your hands with soap. - refrain from shaking hands or other direct contact with other members. - refrain from touching you face, mouth or nose. - if you feel unwell, please stay away from club runs until you feel better. The club runs will continue until such a time that the government bans all non-critical activities. In saying that though, members are welcome to message this page with any concerns that they may have moving forward. If enough concerns are made, then the club will look at postponing future club runs. The 3 way comp scheduled for the 4/5 of April is still on, however the Geraldton club is being contacted to confirm they will still be attending. If they pull out, then it will just revert to a standard run. Thankyou.

10.01.2022 Due to the escalating social and travel restrictions that the government is deploying to try to battle the current situation, we have decide to cancel the April 3-way Competition run that was due to be held on the 4/5 April 2020. The following month's run's will be addressed closer to their time taking into consideration the current state of the social restrictions. We hope to be able to make a decision by the middle of the previous month, and notify people accordingly. We'...re already discussing the possibility of making the May run a "Go Where You Please" with fish catches photographed and measured and then converted to weight/points. We'd like to encourage people to maybe take this opportunity to head out in April and try for the best off-run catch, while maintaining the recommended social distancing practices. Depending on the impact of the pandemic throughout the fishing year, we also hope to makeup for the lost run's either late in the year or early next year. This can be discussed at the next official weight in. If anyone would like to discuss these decisions further, please message this page and we will respond in due time. Hopefully we'll be able to resume our fishing year soon. Thank you.
