20.01.2022 What a great Christmas windup this year at Lake Leschenaultia enjoyed by 90 - 100 people. The weather was great and all enjoyed the swimming or socialising with free drinks and food. A big thank you to all involved and especially those that organised. ... Northam award winners where; Little Samurai - Bentlee Mclellan Memorial trophy - Stephen Bleach Sensei award - Kristina Perrin A special thank you to 2 of the instructors that couldnt be there, Jelena Manuel and Grant Arthur for their ongoing work with teaching.

20.01.2022 Over the course of 2 days on February 22 and 23, over 150 athletes, coaches, referees, parents and helpers from WA attended a two day training camp at the Ern Halliday Recreation Camp. Both days involved training, team building, nutrition, competition, selection, and lots of fun.

19.01.2022 Caught up with a very dear friend after way to long, my instructor Walter Jinman, retired Head of Wado Ryu. I took over from him sometime around the mid 90s. Although I now hold twice his Japanese grade, I still look up to him as my Sensei and love his knowledge and outlook on Karate and life. Respect for life to you Walter Jinman, you made me what I am today

After discussions with Sensei Gunn (and a bit of innovation while stuck at home) I have decided to run an additional Little Samurais class on Mondays at 6pm following Sensei Russells starting last Tuesday. This will be a short, sharp 30 minute class to keep up your karate skills and fitness while at home. 10.01.2022 Thank you to all those that participated in the WA State Squad Training Session 1 on Saturday. Although this was a non-compulsory training session, we had good ...attendance. The passion and commitment shone through from the youngest athlete right through to veterans. Were all looking forward to Session 2 this Saturday, September 5. Hopefully, everyone that attended can make it again. And for those that couldnt make it, wed love to see you. Special thanks to Hanshi Brian Mackies Goju Kai Karate for allowing the State Squad to train in the Hombu Dojo.

09.01.2022 Life membership of West Australian All Wado Karate Federation awarded to Sensie Mic Gunn. He has dedicated 40 years service to Wado Ryu Karate in Western ...Australia. He is a 6th Dan black belt japanese graded. He is the current head of style in Australia and has lead Wado in WA for well over 30 years. Mic has represented WA as a Kumite athlete and is a current senior coach for the WA State karate team. He has coached and trained up more state repremtives than I can count as well aa a number of Australia champions and Australian team members. He coached Trisha Korosec to a junior World championship and numerous Australia and State titles. Mic has trained again more than I can count student to black belt and beyond. Congratulations on being a great leader, mentor , great mate to all our members and now Life Member of WA Wado Ryu Karate.

03.01.2022 CLUB CHRISTMAS PARTY We will be holding the Christmas party at Lake Leschenaultia again this year. Instead of booking the main gazebo, often the date doesnt suit the majority, we are going to hold it when the majority can attend. Please put in the comments any dates that suit your family, Saturday or Sunday, in December. ... All bbq, cool drinks and icy poles are supplied free by the club. All we ask is that each family could bring a small salad to share please. BYO alcohol if you require.

If you havent already received it from your sensei, make sure to contact them and provide your email address so they can email it to you. Alternatively I can as well if you message me. As it is such a big file you will need Onedrive to receive it and make sure to check your junkmail in case it has gone in there. I hope you enjoy it and have a bit of fun creating your own training session! Get training!!
