25.01.2022 Hi All! Hope your loving the rain!! Quick forecast update on the low: Monsoon will ease for Darwin with a low / cyclone possible for NE Top End end of the week into the weekend. Doesn't look like it'll come near Darwin but head south. ... For all the people wondering what's happening with the storms it possibly looks like we will soon swing back into the afternoon/overnight storms. Take care everybody and enjoy the amazing monsoonal weather :)

25.01.2022 Radar teasing us from all sides today - that line to the nw may push across his afternoon.

24.01.2022 Hi loyal Troppos, apologies for my absence the last few days, I decided to take some time out from social media and regroup. All will be ok, and I hope to be back with you soon. In the meantime enjoy the wet wild weather for a few days before NW WA sucks it all away again by the weekend! Best, Paul

20.01.2022 Baking weather today! 36.9C at Darwin Airport.... And 38.3C at both Middle Point and Noony! Darwin BoM have issued another fire weather warning for Sunday... Severe fire danger again for the Adelaide River and Darwin regions.

20.01.2022 STUART HIGHWAY- Elizabeth River Bridge (40km south of Darwin) outbound lane closed due to flooding. Single lane traffic is being allowed through in contra flow. Allow extra time and exercise caution

20.01.2022 Some thunderstorms this evening east of Darwin... Annaburroo to Jabiru saw some decent storms. Pine Creek also getting some good action tonight with skies lighting up down there. These photos about an hour ago from the Arnhem Highway.

16.01.2022 Woohoo! Hector is up and away with a nice fat core. Also there is the odd heavy shower about in the rural - Noonamah and heading NW and another heavy shower near Cox Peninsula Road. Bring on the wet!!

16.01.2022 As discussed in my outlook this morning, the monsoon trough is expected to redevelop to our north by this weekend. It will then slowly move south, increasing the threat of cyclone development. The latest Euro model is starting to hint at a deep low developing somewhere in the trough, with this run placing it very close to Darwin. Of course, it's a week away but it's good to see a return to more active weather conditions hopefully from this weekend. Meanwhile, we should start to see a few showers/storms as the low to our Se traverses central Australia.

15.01.2022 Well she's a bit steamy outside and cumulus towers are building up nicely. Convective showers this arvo should be more widespread than yesterday. Dependant on sea breeze location, Noonamah has probably about a 60 percent chance of a shower, 50 percent for Palmerston and 20 percent in Darwin proper (sea breeze will blow clouds away).... A healthy chance of a thunderstorm west of Litchfield (La Belle Downs) and of course the Tiwis.

14.01.2022 Banging away west of Darwin city over Cox Peninsula from this cell. Geeze it's getting hot! Decent rain southeast of Darwin Harbour also over rural areas. Any rain where you are?

13.01.2022 Here comes that line of storms! #strawscrossed it makes it! So humid out there - and some isolated showers around too!

12.01.2022 Woohoo! Morning convection screaming into life - some isolated briefly heavy falls about with thunderstorms now east of Adelaide River town and Acacia. Convection should clear soon with more thunderstorms likely this afternoon, inland.

10.01.2022 7 weeks to go until the build-up! ;) One could be fooled for thinking it's already here.. It sure has been one warm dry season! Jacci. :)

04.01.2022 Wet season FINALLY hits Darwin City and suburbs! Massive 155-day run of dry weather is broken!

01.01.2022 We promised a wetter week this week, and it's happening. Lovely steady moderate rain in the City now. Spreading slowly across all Burbs and inland to Palmerston and rural folk.
