24.01.2022 On behalf of the North Ballarat Cricket Club players and committee we would like to congratulate Darren Wilson on 200 games as a player / coach this weekend. Darren has worked tirelessly over the past 2 years as our senior coach to develop and push our club forward with strong values in mind. We couldn’t thank Darren enough for the work he has done not only as a player and coach but as a mentor for our young players for the future.... For any past and present members / players that would like to congratulate Darren on this achievement the first grade will be playing at Russell square this weekend against East Ballarat where Darren will be watching and coaching our boys. Good luck to our teams this weekend, Go Roosters!

Thank you for driving us around to games and training, for removing grass and ball stains from our whites and for celebrating the good days and consoling us on the tough days. We hope you enjoy your day and that your kids give you a day off from delivering throw downs in the backyard.

21.01.2022 Yesterday 6 of our Junior Blaster participants were selected to be part of the National Anthem Ceremony for Day 1 of the Boxing Day test! They were all extremely excited to get this opportunity & represented the club proudly. This was great recognition for the club's Blasters Program as there was only 2 club's selected from the entire state to get this opportunity! Well done kids!

21.01.2022 Thrilled to join the Forest Rangers Soccer Club, North Ballarat Cricket Club and the Ballarat Council to officially open the new pitches, the first of several s...ports facilities that will be introduced to the reserve in the coming months thanks to the Andrews Labor Government’s $7 million Local Sports Grants investment. The three new football pitches are a welcome boost for growing local clubs like the Forest Rangers Soccer Club who now have more room for team training and development programs as well as a venue capable of hosting big games and football tournaments. Between two of the new pitches there’s a new synthetic cricket wicket that provides a home competition and training venue for the North Ballarat Cricket Club. New pitch lighting is also on the way which will provide the perfect base for these clubs to extend training times and stage night competition. Other new facilities coming to the reserve include a new female friendly pavilion for local football and cricket as well as spaces for the Wendouree Neighbourhood Centre, Ballarat YMCA Youth Programs, new Men’s Shed including ReCranked Youth Shed, Skate and BMX facilities and street football zone are also on the way.

18.01.2022 Congratulations to Ash McCafferty who was awarded the BCA 1st XI Bowling Aggregate Award and Richard Stacey who has won the 3rd XI Champion Player Award for season 2020-21. The club was also well represented in the 1st XI EJ Cleary medal count with Ash McCafferty accumulating 14 votes to place 4th and Leigh Lorenzen 13 votes to place 5th. Well done Roosters!

18.01.2022 A fantastic night was had at our Junior Christmas party tonight! With over 100 people attending the future is looking bright for our club. A big thank you to those that helped out during the night & a big thank you goes to the Miners Rest Fire Brigade for bringing Santa along the kids loved it!

11.01.2022 SENIOR TRAINING SCHEDULE CHRISTMAS- NEW YEAR BREAK Just a reminder that official training will resume on Thursday 7 January. Training nights in the new year will recommence at 5.15pm with group warm-up followed by net sessions commencing at 5.30pm. The Christmas break is a great opportunity to recharge the batteries and reset for the second half of the season. A big thank you to those who have shown their commitment to training ever since we commenced our ISO and Preseason pr...ograms earlier in the year. Thank you everyone, for your ongoing support throughout what has been an extraordinary and challenging 2020. Our club will be represented throughout January by a number of our junior players in representative games and the club wishes them all the very best. 02.01.2022 It's official - Senior cricket to kick off on October 17! Based on feedback from our clubs the preferred option by a large majority was to start all senior cric...ket on October 17. The following weekend (long weekend) will see NO SENIOR CRICKET with a decision on Junior cricket to be afforded to all clubs involved shortly. October 31 will see everyone back into it and hitting the park for the remainder of a Rona-free cricket season! Although looking out the window right now doesn't really get you pumped up for outside play, it's still exciting to be this close to having some fun!
