14.01.2022 Fathers in Our Lives We give our thanks, Creator God, for the fathers in our lives. Fatherhood does not come with a manual, and reality teaches us that some fathers excel while others fail. We ask for Your blessings for them all and forgiveness where it is needed.... This Fathers Day we remember the many sacrifices fathers make for their children and families, and the ways--both big and small--they lift children to achieve dreams thought beyond reach. So too, we remember all those who have helped fill the void when fathers pass early or are absent; grandfathers and uncles, brothers and cousins, teachers, pastors and coaches and the women of our families. For those who are fathers, we ask for wisdom and humility in the face of the task of parenting. Give them the strength to do well by their children and by You. In Your Holy name, O God, we pray. 10.01.2022 Feeling bored at home? How about getting some physical activities. The Pingpongathon 2020 is back on again. This year it will be Pong@home as we are unable to play face-to-face in Church. 1. We will play in our homes as individuals, couples and families using whatever tables, bats, balls we have or we can get using. We can use Zoom, online games or whatever else we can find. Be Creative. 2. We will be playing over 2 time slots. Friday 7:00-10:00pm 18th and Saturday 1:30-3:30p...m 19th Sept. 3. NBBC has registered already as a venue so you can register to play NOW at pingpongathon.com 2020 . Please register under North Balwyn Baptist. Registration means that when you seek sponsors, they will look up your name online and sponsor you. 4. Once people have registered, we will encourage those of you who will be sponsors to do that. 10.01.2022 Calling all Youths (Years 7-12) - TOMORROW (Friday 18th Sep) @ 7pm on ZOOM. We want to help all of you, as you help others. This year we are doing something a little different. As well as raising funds for the Ping-Pong-a-thon, we would like to invite you to join us for a special discussion on mental health. It is something that we are all affected by: whether we struggle with or know others who do. With 2 guest speakers and stories shared from those who have struggled or ar...e struggling with anxiety and depression. This is a night of information and discussion that I believe will be priceless now and definitely for our future. We will also be showing some information on some of the Pong supported ministries. We will want the focus of the night to be fighting against slavery, child exploitation and giving a voice to those who feel powerless to speak up in their situations. There are still children around the world who are sold, abused, starving to death and so much worse. We want all of Catalyst Youth to come together to raise the money to save lives. However, we would also like to talk to you about a topic of great importance, that may one day help you save a life- Mental Health. We will be joined by two special guests as well as all of our amazing Catalyst leaders. I would really encourage you all to be there this Friday at 7pm.
