It will also cover award winners from season 2019/20, with last seasons presentation put on ice due to COVID. 02.01.2022 Good afternoon Northbridge Cricket Club members, Season 2020/21 Presentation Night - May 22 2021 We are 12 days out from presentation night! ... As you may be aware, this season's Presentation Night will take place on the 22 May 2021 at North Sydney Hotel from 730pm. It will also cover award winners from season 2019/20, with last seasons presentation put on ice due to COVID. Ticket cost is $50, which will be inclusive of food and (limited) drinks. Additionally, the club awards a number of perpetual trophies each season, which invite votes from the playing group. Please take the time to do this - these are prestigious awards, and highly valued across both the past and present playing group. A rundown of the awards: Ken Wood Cup: The Club’s perpetual major award, the Ken Wood Cup is awarded each season to the outstanding member of the club. This award was first awarded in the 1947/48 season in memory of Sergeant Ken Wood, who sadly died during World War II. When deciding the recipient of this award, the general committee takes into account performances on the cricket field, sportsmanship and other services rendered to the club. Lance Thornton Cup: The Lance Thornton Cup is awarded each season to the outstanding junior member of the club (under 23). Lance Thornton played cricket for Northbridge and was our Club Secretary. Lance was also Treasurer for the NSCA, and Northbridge Club Patron from 1979-1980. The Mitchell Whyman Shield: Awarded to the outstanding rookie (first season player) of the club for contributions both on and off the field. The member has to have played a full season.
