24.01.2022 Awesome to be recognised for our work on the new trails at Samford. For anyone who did not catch the awards event, there are some amazing organisations out the...re who are using the outdoors to change lives. These organisations are truly amazing and deserving of every accolade they receive. Massive thanks to everyone involved in our project. We have built some awesome trails, but we are most proud of the relationships we have developed with QPWS, with Turrbal and the community of diggers that have grown as a result of this project. Looking forward to more trails and more digging........

22.01.2022 Sunday afternoon we had some stars out on the trails at Ironbark for a photo shoot. Thanks to all who contributed whether riding endlessly doing sessions (what a chore :-)), to those non participants who may have had to wait at times during those sessions, and those who were not expecting to see their heroes out on the dirt. All photos/videos are uploaded.

20.01.2022 Tree down on Track 2 at Samford. Rangers have been notified but will likely be there until Monday. A tad breezy out there today, stay safe.

20.01.2022 Hi Everyone, This week there will not be an Intro ride. I need a weekend off riding to rest my back which I strained on the Intro ride a few weeks back catching a falling rider. I did also want to take this chance to let everyone know there will be some changes occurring to the Intro/Coaching rides. There has been a surge in interest in these rides which is leaving some people disappointed as they are missing out on participation.... As a result, we are now asking those that are interested in the Coaching Opportunities the club is offering to members to register their interest. There will be three levels of coaching offered and based on the interest in each, there will be sessions arranged via email invitations. The three levels are: * Basic Bicycle Skills is for those people who are completely new to riding a bicycle OR under 13 year old riders, it is designed to assist riders in understanding basic skills and their bicycle. * Introductory Trail Skills is for people who may be new to MTB riding, have an understanding of their bike, and would like to get more out of their riding and understand the trails better. * Intermediate Trail Skills is about rising above the introductory trail skills and looking for some additional riding skills. You can nominate for one option only and when completed renominate either for more of that same level or if assessed competent, move to the next level. Doing this will enable all persons to be able to access the coaching we are offering in a fair manner. The link to the registration form is below. Coaching is available to Financial Club Members only. Sean https://forms.gle/nPHzBWYyZwVF1pvi7

18.01.2022 We would like to thank Gav and Team at Giant Ashgrove for their support! When we announced the public could donate for trail care we had a BBQ on the wish list.... Gav had a quick chat and the next thing we knew the funds had been donated through the link: https://asf.org.au/donate/trail-care All donations through the link go directly to trail care and volunteer support. Things like signs, replacement tools, sausages, cold drinks and equipment maintenance or hire. For for those that are keen to pick up the tools, send us a message and we will add you to our diggers notifications group on whatsapp. Happy Trails! #GaintAshgrove

17.01.2022 Hiddenvale Ride today started with a chilly 6 degrees. We all Soon warmed up chasing Cory and Greg on the e-bikes. (Yes, we were all jealous!) Skyfall was the favourite of the day, running fast with plenty of grip. Hopefully all those that experienced HVAP for the first time enjoyed it and don’t have nightmares about rocks Not many photos as we were all to busy pedalling and puffing. Except for Cory and Greg

14.01.2022 There have been some discussions about doing a day ride on the Brisbane Valley Rail Trail again. This time of year is perfect for this type of ride. We are looking at the second weekend of July. Either Saturday the 10th or Sunday the 11th. There are many options. We are looking at doing Yarraman to Moore. Then having lunch at Moore. Some can start at Moore and ride to Yarraman and return. About an 88km Ride. Others can catch the shuttle (around $35) and meet the others at... Yarraman and return together, Yarraman to Moore is about a 44km Ride. We need to confirm in the next week or 2 so if you are interested, please send us a message of what you are interested in or post below. Information about the BVRT https://www.brisbanevalleyrailtrail.com.au See more

14.01.2022 At the 2020 AGM Frank and Sean where inducted as life members. Both have made significant contributions to the club over many years. Interestingly both where organising for the other to be inducted, whilst having no idea they would be next to each other.

02.01.2022 Hi Everyone, In these challenging times sometimes there are opportunities to help out those who need our support. Next weekend there is a mountain bike race on Saturday and a trail running race on Sunday at Ewan Maddock Dam being run by In2Adventure. Normally they would have assistance from the firies and SES, but they are unable to assist them this year as the commissioner has sent down a directive excluding them from doing any community work due to COVID-19. As a result the...y need volunteers from the broader community. If you are able to spare some time on Saturday October 24 or Sunday October 25th, please click on the link for details and register: https://in2adventure.com.au/about/volunteers/. In2Adventure will make a donation to the club in line with the number of volunteers we can provide. Frank Kenny and I have already put our hands up to help out. Please join us and support local business during this slow recovery as events make they way back to us. Thanks, on behalf of Robyn and Simon Lazenby, In2Adventure. See more

02.01.2022 I have to say that myself and I am sure Frank was too, were both very humbled to receive an honour of Club Life Membership today. I thought that I had been conspiring with Karl and Mike to honour Frank for his years of service and devotion to the club, so it was truly a surprise to be similarly honoured. Totally unexpected and truly appreciated. Thank you to Mike and Karl for surprising both of us today, thank you to Ben for sifting through pictures (its an awesome picture, shows everything to my students they should do LMAO), and to anyone else involved that I am not aware of, and thank you to the club for allowing it to happen. As stated, the picture has gone "Straight to the pool room", I wasn't lying. ;-) Sean

02.01.2022 Today is the day! Hope you have your Xmas attire ready! Last ride of the year, our annual Xmas Night Ride around the City. Rego and further info in the event.
