20.01.2022 These are the lucky people who have drawn a horse in the Melbourne cup Calcutta. The draw was conducted yesterday at 2pm at the club. The past players committee have been busy contacting these people to let them know they have a horse as the BDT won’t have a publication until Wednesday. The full results will be in Wednesday’s paper. Good luck to everyone, especially Andrew Schmidt who seems gets a horse every year since 1984.

20.01.2022 *** Women’s Coaching Announcement*** We have our coach.... wait.... correction we have our coaches!!! Darren tangey and John Schorn have been appointed joint coaches of our women’s football team. A dream result for our girls and our club to have these guys on board! 2021 is looking bright for the Bulldogs!

20.01.2022 Merchandise update. We have been told JS Sports will have your Christmas orders here on Wednesday. We will contact you Wednesday afternoon for pickup or delivery. We aren’t privy to who ordered what, but the three rugby tops that were ordered unfortunately aren’t going to make it this week. If you are one of those, sorry but we were informed of this today.

18.01.2022 Hi Bulldogs, As you may be aware we placed an ad in yesterday’s BDT advertising the position of League coach. Mat Garrick informed us of his decision to not rea...pply for the position for 2021. Although no shot was fired in 2020 Mat and his assistants dealt with the challenges of this year brilliantly both with managing restrictions and guiding the players through the on, off, on, off and eventually cancelled season. The football club thanks Gaz and his team for going above and beyond this year and hope he comes back to coaching in the near future. So now we are looking for the next North A Grade coach. 2021 will be a massive comeback year for footy in Broken Hill and we have the task in front of us to find the right replacements. 11.01.2022 Congratulations to the winners of the Calcutta. Full results were also published in today’s BDT. The past players committee and Football Club thank everyone who supported the draw this year.

11.01.2022 Yesterday we held our AGM and Christmas party. Both events were well attended and besides the covid restrictions, it felt like old times at the club. Thanks to everyone who came down to have a beer and well done to the 13 lucky people who walked away with a ham for Christmas. We would like to thank our committee members who did not seek re-election for various reasons.... Britt Tangey, Tegan Gray, Toby McAllister and Ethan Thomas. We would like to welcome back Lindy Robins as Assistant Secretary and Paul Thomas. Ryan Harris has also joined us and will start helping out towards the start of the season. We will be open this weekend for a second little Christmas drink for everyone, but especially for those that had to work last weekend. AND... With thanks to Justin Hoskins’s new Barrier Finance venture, we will have 5 more hams to draw!!! So come down from 11.30 till 4pm this Sunday for Christmas drinks part 2.
