Local volunteers, runners, joggers, walkers (plus the four-legged variety) and pram rollers turned up to put the course (and event organisers ) to the test on Sat 9 Jan, ahead of the official launch and first run on Sat 6 Feb at 7am. Another trial run, run, is scheduled for Sat 23 Jan. Arrive at the stairs to the Riverwalk on Maltby Place (near the Golden Orange Hotel) at 6:45am.... 08.01.2022 Fatal traffic crash, Mount Perry A man has died following a truck crash in Mount Perry this morning (February 15). Just before 9am, a truck travelling along Swindon Road left the roadway and rolled into a ditch.... The driver and sole occupant of the truck, a 24-year-old Apple Tree Creek man died at the scene. Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing into the circumstances of the crash. The family and friends of the driver are in our thoughts.

06.01.2022 Search operation, Biggenden A search operation has resumed this morning after a woman in her 60s became separated from her walking party at Biggenden, west of Maryborough, yesterday. The woman was walking with two relatives along a track in the Coongarra Rock National Park when they became separated around 1.30pm.... The men walked to a nearby caravan park to raise the alarm. Police commenced a search of the immediate area, however were unable to locate the woman. It is believed the woman is an experienced walker.
